  1. what you call pretty damn respectable i call bottom-3 in fWAR What you call bottom-3 in fWAR, fangraphs doesn't.
  2. I figured the guy who's gone on about Rick Porcello for the last 9 years would understand.
  3. We would've had to win 4 more games, and our OF was pretty damn respectable that season. Maybe Cespedes's presence leads to a Brett Jackson wizardry Cashner trade.
  4. Good thing Theo didn't make that big splash in his first year. Things would be a lot different. And that doesn't even include Rizzo's pretty good 2012 and does include his disappointing 2013. Of course it doesn't include Pujols's good 2012 and Fielder's great one. No, but if you do, he's produced more fWAR than either of them individually (barely, but still). Oh, I don't think anyone disagrees that avoiding them turned out to be the right move(it'd take a lot of twisting to say otherwise). It was just kind of a silly comment implying that Rizzo was being shortchanged on the comparison.
  5. I haven't seen those. Was he a guy who was right all the time? Because I was dead right in every one of those posts. You know I'm just giving you [expletive], kyle. I was just thinking about how dated we are all getting. The NSBB demographic fits a pretty narrow band. Yeah, the girl who cut my hair the other day didn't know what Magnum PI was and then I realized that she wasn't even close to alive in the 80's. Pics?
  6. It's a good thing we're sending away Emilio Bonifacio, because we'd have no way to justify playing Baez over him

  8. Vitters will probably be gone first, but yeah, they're both done for. Mike Olt was 2nd on the major league team in HRs, 14th in singles
  9. Poor quality for now, lemme know if this worked. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10103914921258230&l=6894401438903983773
  10. Everyone be reminded that OMC thought this reporter was the most beautiful thing on the planet
  11. Cannot believe how good he's coming off as a face
  12. Well the only way we aren't coming off a sweep at the hands of the worst team in the league is if these guys are instead
  13. Cause I'm afraid Len might try to kill himself if he has to spend more time with this guy.
  14. The last thing the front office should want to do is give off some sort of "Baez is our savior" vibe. He's already going to be putting that sort of pressure on himself because of who he is. If anything they'll want to lower expectations for fans. Which is just another reason he may not come up until late next spring. But man if he comes up soon... So exciting! They aren't doing that. They are just giving little cookies to fans (even though Theo said he doesn't do this) by kinda hinting/bringing up his name. That's not saying "Baez is our savior" or like "hint hint, hey guys maybe Baez is coming soon". Well they certainly aren't doing that.
  15. Oh, it's coming. Sure, next spring. Late next spring
