Said it in a matter of fact way. And he called Wittenmeyer a "recent expert" in TV deals when he disagreed so that was fun.

The Phillies certainly wouldn't be last if they were counting contributions from guys in that span. Utley alone has twice the WAR they gave the Phillies.

Regardless, I'm sure we can all agree that nobody cares about either of these teams.

If we're starting in 04', Zambrano, Wood, Marmol (think he didn't suck yet), Soto, Randy Wells had like 1.5 good years, Cool Cat, Theriot probably had 1-2 okay years, Castro, can't think of any other significant home grown contributors. Castro is the only one of those guys acquired after '04.

They're likely doing something stupid like counting guys who were drafted but not signed (Sonny Gray and somebody else), but I've got it at 56.5 for the Cubs. Josh Donaldson, Josh Harrison and Darwin Barney were big ones.

Are there fans of other teams that are also stuck in this dilemma? Where they don't get the local broadcast but are still blacked out of Extra Innings and MLB.TV? Have we just been lucky because games have been on WGN my whole life? No, you're unlucky now because of WGN. All the other teams have a regional sports network like Comcast that all of their games are on instead of the split schedule the Cubs have, and people not in the immediate area but still in blackout zones get that channel. No, he's been lucky. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/MLB_Blackout_Areas.png People in Montana almost certainly aren't getting all the Mariners games but they're still blacked out on them.

That should tell you that it's completely unreliable. He was a -8.8 in RF. How many games? That's a per/150, over 500 innings. Most innings he saw at any position. -

We already have Chris Coghlan and hopefully we're looking to get rid of him. he hits the ball very far and lots He had a -40.3UZR/150 in LF last year. That's worse than Any year in Adam Dunn's LF career. That should tell you that it's completely unreliable. He was a -8.8 in RF. -

So they traded Lester for Porcello. Obviously not as simple as that due to contacts and future value but interesting. They traded 2 months of Lester in a year they weren't contending for a year of Porcello. -

Meh, RoboDavid has them as like the 20th best franchise. Why would Lester ever pick the Cubs over the Giants if the money is close? Good God. Oh and Jake Arrieta [expletive] sucks. So does Carlos Gomez. Those are different.
