sound like about 90% of the posts in every game thread here If the people posting in game threads were being paid to broadcast play by play this might be a relevant.

The Cubs most certainly would have lost the grievance if they tried to stash him on the minor league DL all year. He was pretty clearly injured all ST, never appeared in the minors, they wouldn't have stood a chance.

Beyond that check out Jones in CF, Soriano in LF, and ARAM!! at 3B. Again, this is far from gospel IMO, as I really don't think defensive metrics are reliable enough to take a lot out of, but it's interesting to see how good this team has been on defense according to the numbers.

Actually the new stadium was the reason they were able to raise the payroll the years preciding the new stadium......contrary to popular belief, the team never said it was going to raise the payroll once the stadium was here.
