Levine said the same thing actually. He said Selig got involved and got permission from all parties. Levine also said he thinks Z is 28 and not 26. I think Levine's probably talking out of his ass. -
Given his workloads at an early age I respectfully disagree. Young pitchers with heavy workloads start to run in to problems around his age. The contract would actually be less of a gamble if he were 28. That said, youneverknow. You did promise us all that Z was injured when he sucked early in the year. And no I'm not bitter at all that you got into my head and casued me to trade Z at the absolute bottom of his value for Rich Hill at his absolute peak.

Yup, but those balls were hit hard. Just Encarnacion's. The groundout wasn't especially hard, and Edmonds's fly ball was pretty lazy.

For the record I called that 1 run wouldn't win the game, that Hill should pitch the 7th, Howry should pitch the 8th, and Dempster the 9th. Send me money or something.

Race? C'mon! That's stupid. Whatever, I am probably wrong, but I can see why some think it exists. No way. Some of the most popular Cubs are black. Some of my best friends are black!

I'm usually one of the last guys to pull the race card, but I definitely think racism had something to do with the LaTroy and Jacque hate. I felt really bad for LaTroy because it was his hometown team, but he at least had an attitude about things that made him a little harder to like. I've always liked Jacque personally for the way he handled himself,(remember it was Dusty that brought up the racist letters, not Jacque) but he went even further to cement himself for me when he sat down and shut up the 2-3 week period where he was pinch runner extrodinaire. He said all the right things, never publicly raised a fuss and was a class act about it. I'm ecstatic to see him succeeding lately.
