I didn't mind doing that yesterday, I mind doing it 2 days in a row. Look, Lou, I understand you have a day off Monday, so it's not a big deal if some bullpen arms pitch every game this weekend, but it doesn't mean you have to have your good arms pitch every game this weekend when it's wholly unnecessary. Wuertz hasn't pitched since Tuesday, why not get him an inning to keep him fresh?

Lou's bullpen usage down the stretch reminds me of Dusty's rotation usage down the stretch in '03. Dusty trusted nobody in the pen so he ran out his starters for 130 pitches a game. Lou trusts 3 relievers so he runs them out there every game. Good thing we seem to have some depth in the pen for next year, cause I could see some injuries.

Soriano 2 run double followed by DeRosa line out to RF. 9-3 Cubs heading to the 8th. Kudos to Len for the way he handled the interview, especially allowing him the 8th to give his thanks since the inning ended abruptly. Not an easy job to do.

Yeah, but what is Fuld gonna do with a bat. Not a lot probably, just felt the need to say it, cause I often comment on the OF defense on good/bad plays.

I'll be the first to say it, cause somebody has to. Ain't no way Murton makes that catch. Hell, Jones doesn't make that catch. Fuld might be the only one on the team to make that catch.

Dempster and Hill have been worse than I thought they'd be. Theriot's been right about where I'd expect. That may speak more to my expectations though. -
