  1. Yeah after he got away with two ropes for outs, then the two big guys get hits, it might have been a good time to go to your pen. It's pretty obvious why he didn't go to the pen. Atlanta's bullpen is terrible. Look at Yates right now. I have no problem with Cox leaving in Hudson for as long as he did. Yates is in cause they're losing. They likely woulda went Moylan/Dotel/Soriano
  2. It would really kill the Brewers' hopes and dreams if they blew this game, but I don't think Cordero is gonna give up 7 runs in the 9th.
  3. We're gonna get blown out like we did today.
  4. This was the season, I was ready to get really confident if the Braves won. This sucks. I'm gonna get loaded tonight.
  5. Only chance is that Cordero hasn't pitched since Sunday. :(
  6. Tubby up as the go ahead run. Get this out, and Atlanta should win.
  7. My mistake. Yeah, I'd guess it's between Hart and Ohman then.
  8. This is a really tough call. Hudson's a good hitting pitcher, but is at 93 pitches. I'd have probably gone to Kelly Johnson, but this is defendable.
  9. Time to once again play pick the pinch hitter to bring in the tying run from 2nd baes. Joe Dillon? Gabe Gross? Rickie Weeks?????? Nahhhhhhhhh, Laynce Nix.
  10. I don't mind Applebee's. I presently don't mind the Braves either.
  11. I feel the need to point out that I actually took a train back to my place of living at 4:20, I wasn't using some "clever" euphemism to say I was going to get high. In fact I hate people trying to cleverly tell me they're going to get high. And I freaked out the entire train ride home that I was jinxing the Cubs by not watching the 9th inning. I'm way too logical to buy into that stuff, but when I got the update to say Pittsburgh had made it 13-8, my freaking went into high gear. It was a 5 run lead for crying out loud, I need to settle down.
  12. My assumption was Monroe would be our starting CF vs. lefties the rest of the way. I still kinda think it wouldn't be an awful idea, but Monroe's presence on a potential playoff roster would have nothing to do with Murton and Pie. Kendall, Lee, DeRosa, Theriot, Ramirez, Soriano, Jones, Floyd, Murton, Soto, Fontenot, Pie, and Ward would all be locks for position players. Zambrano, Lilly, Hill, Marquis, Wood, Eyre, Marmol, Howry, and Dempster would be locks for pitchers. That's 23 players. I'm 98% sure Wuertz would make a playoff roster. That leaves Monroe vs. a 12th pitcher(Hart/Ohman) vs. Cedeno. I'd say Monroe has a better than 50% chance of making it, Hart/Ohman about 30%, Cedeno a real long shot.
  13. Yeah but who coulda saw that coming?
  14. Catching the 4:20 train home, if we lose, I accept full responsibility.
  15. They might replay it on Comcast at 7 or 2 AM.
  16. Classic Marquis today. Cards fans say they warned you he'd crap the bed when you need him most. Hopefully you can overcome his turd of an outing. Yeap. You can hear the Cards fans snickering off in the distance. Emphasis on distance. It is too bad that the games Marquis has pitched well in only counted for 1/2 a game in the standings though. Kind of a bizarre rule they instituted.
  17. Scott Eyre his usual brilliant self. Thnx Scott!
  18. Who's gonna pinch run now? Pie and Fuld both out. That shoulda been Fontenot there if you're gonna pinch hit, and it really shoulda just been Hart.
  19. Oh come on, Hart should be able to go 4. Also there's nobody on with 2 outs.
