oh right, because there's nothing exploitative about it so long as it hasn't been empirically proven to shorten one's lifespan. that's an interesting high ground you're taking and besides, i didn't come in here guns ablaze and just skeet wet blanket-ness all over the place. i made a response comment in jest, to which there was a thoughtful response, so i followed up in kind but whatever, you might as well randomly use this vanilla disagreement to hit the release valve on that pent up aggressiveness towards the posters that like to talk about music and/or soccer Yep, I've long had a passionate hatred for people talking music and soccer. Nailed it. There were 1252 posts in the college basketball in-season thread. You think people were all interested during the season because of gambling, or because they've been fans of those programs for awhile? I can't recall a single person claiming NCAA basketball or football are superior competitions to their pro counterparts, so what is the point of making that argument? Who said anything about exploitation(which of course the majority of NCAAB scholarship athletes aren't being, but yep, let's go pay the top 100 players some more and take away college educations from kids who nobody gives a [expletive] about)? My point is don't make the point about NCAA being gambling driven when a sport that is literally killing people is only at its level of popularity because of sad old men who gamble, and sadder old men who don't.
