  1. i'm sorry, are we of the belief that wrigley isn't a mess? Are we of the belief the renovation was not necessary? Yeah, that's the real issue I have with it. That and the portrayal that this was part of some planning screw up rather than a fluke occurrence. They had enough bathrooms, but a set of them failed opening night. I'm not sure how close to the renovations that failure was or how tied in it was, but in any case, short of having tens of thousands of people do a dry run, I don't think that problem is forseeable based on what we know. Of course, I don't expect that type of nuance from Deadspin, so it's just an annoyance seeing them run a half dozen stories in a week about it. It'd be one hell of a coincidence that said fluke occurence happened at Wrigley following offseason renovations.
  2. I'm not ready to equate them, but Grace was a repeated drunk driver, he's just lucky.
  3. i'm sorry, are we of the belief that wrigley isn't a mess? Are we of the belief the renovation was not necessary? I don't think it was necessary to [expletive] the renovation up.
  4. Just a shade under a billion dollar return on a 5 year investment.
  5. That's what Grace says about stoplights and pedestrians.
  6. Out of sight, out of mind.
  7. Danny Ainge had to be pissed enough at Brad Stevens for the team not being terrible and missing out on a top pick. Now they run the risk of missing the lottery altogether and drawing the Cavs in the 1st round.
  8. Hundley is up there too. Which one and what did they do? I don't recall hearing anything that egregious about either. Todd. Nothing close to what Hall and Bradley did, to my knowledge. Just hated for being a horrible baseball player. Was probably an [expletive], too. I believe he was an alcoholic as well
  9. hahahhaha. what a trainwreck he turned out to be. Dad got back into his life at the exact wrong time. Not for the dad.
  10. I imagine the MLBPA would raise a bit of a stink if a team regularly carried 35 players on their 40 man though.
  11. Wow, Brett is going to contribute to it once a week.
  12. And despite being somebody who thinks the Reds will be better than most believe, a win against the Padres is probably worth more for playoff implications.
  13. They won't put hm on the 40 man until he gets the call. that doesn't refute his point. do you really think they'll fill Sweeney's spot with someone else for the next 9 days? Given this front office's love of churning the waiver wire? It's quite possible. I think they have to don't they? How long can they not have a full roster? Forever
  14. have you been there? i kinda see where he's coming from Explain this. it's just a feel thing there is no explaining feelings sorry http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l6ht47A6s11qc073co1_400.gif
