  1. PSU's best chance is to be losing at the half.
  2. Seems like a lock that the Big Ten Tourney title is going to the top half of the bracket. I think I like Illinois or Minnesota's chances better at making it to the finals than I do Indiana's.
  3. Snyder
  4. Updated my post on page 2. I've got 30 locks/virtual locks, 23 bubble teams for 4 spots. 10 spots can open up with the right teams winning conference tourneys.
  5. In addition to Dakich or McCallum, I would heartily endorse Dane Fife as the next IU coach. Come on Rick, you need a man who's a true Hoosier, or some garbage like that.
  6. I don't know what torsion means, but I guarantee it's a bad thing.
  7. Terrell Holloway joins Devin Ebanks in decommitting from IU
  8. ha, good to see Gene still doesn't bother with facts. Well he's right and he's wrong. They unofficially offered him a contract telling him what they'd pay him, but they didn't tender him a contract with regards to arbitration.
  9. Can't really tell you anything about Taylor that I haven't read from likely the same reports. I heard a lot about him before this year and don't seem to hear as much now, but that's likely due to my Illini-centric mind and not paying attention to '09s once we got our guards. He's still a good get regardless, and at this point I trust Ryan to know who's right for him.
  10. Yeah. I am sure he will do well with whatever he chooses to do. I feel for the kid, he was an NBA player, but injuries sapped a lot of that from him. Injuries don't have anything to do with intelligence, though. He was easily one of the most frustrating players I've ever witnessed. That being said, I'm glad he didn't get booed. That would've been the definition of classless. 12:30 on a Friday afternoon and I've never been more interested in a Drake-Indiana State game. God I love March. Lol. I am not going to argue with you on the frustrating part, but I think he graduated with a 4.0 Yeah he's definitely a smart kid.
  11. Brian Randle is a class act and a great human being. Was glad to see the reaction he got last night. Was a little worried people wouldn't show him the respect he deserved.
  12. That's the worst kind of remorse. I'm bitter cause I looked through some CCP posts to find a real zinger to nail him and came up with nothing.
  13. That offers me no consolation. Just makes me sadder. Trailing at the half 5 times all year. Just a painful year of basketball.
  14. We need his defense, Tisdale has not looked good defensively tonight. Big 10 isn't really a great league as far back to the basket players, but when Tisdale plays one, he's gonna get beat bad. Why is MSU getting home cooking btw?
  15. Tennessee is a damn good team. Winning the SEC has nothing to do with that.
  16. I need to point out that I screwed up the way the tiebreakers work when I talked earlier. It is unlikely for Illinois to get out of the 10 seed.(They need to either beat MSU and Minnesota or Iowa has to lose to NU) This means a possible 3rd shot at IU, with a follow up against Purdue/Minnesota. That's really not the most lock me up and never let me out of the padded room insane scenario. Of course we'd get absolutely rocked by Wisconsin/MSU/OSU playing our 4th game in a row, but it'd be nice to have some fun this season. Even if it's all happening in my head.
  17. I'm in as an Illinois representative(HA) I like to include as many teams as possible when first looking over at-large chances. (i.e. this team could win out only to lose in their conference title game to put it at least on the bubble) *Bold teams could lose the rest of their games + conference tourney 1st round and still be absolute locks. Italics likely still in in that situation, but could possibly be out with an epic collapse. All teams in order of Pomeroy rank sorted by conference. Kansas Texas Kansas St. A&M Baylor OK Nebraska(Has to beat KU in the tourney) UCLA WSU Stanford AZ USC ASU Oregon Duke UNC Clemson Miami Wisconsin MSU IU Purdue OSU Louisville Marquette Georgetown Notre Dame UConn West Virginia Pitt Tennessee Vanderbilt Kentucky Mississippi St. Arkansas Mississippi Illinois St. Xavier St. Joe's(Needs to beat Xavier on the way to title game) BYU New Mexico UNLV Memphis Kent St.(Out with a 1st round loss, semi loss puts them firmly on bubble) Gonzaga St. Mary's South Alabama EDITED 3/13 to remove auto bids and teams I've removed from consideration. Updated teams with regards to lock/near lock status. Re-ordered non lock/near lock teams in order of their case within the conference.
  18. Hahahhaha. EDIT: Sorry UK fans, I don't even particularly dislike UK, besides the obvious history with Rupp, but scores like that always make me laugh. Vandy still isn't very good. Yep.
  19. Yeah, I misread that score when I went to check the game. I may have even laughed at UK in this thread over that game. Whoops.
  20. Not sure why you're counting the loss at Vandy against them. Losses at Houston, and against UAB are easily worse than that. Vandy's a tourney team.
  21. That's why UK is out and FL is in. Pomeroy likes FL better as well. Regarding Big Ten Tourney, I'd prefer a Penn St.-IU path to the semis. Problem is we probably play our way into the 9 seed and get stuck playing Wisky with a win.
  22. That was sarcasm based on what many of the Hill haters had called him for the better part of a year prior to that post.
  23. Future Bear, Rashard Mendenhall, who went for 150 and 3 td's against your guys. Yeah but who didn't?
