    local ESPNRadio just said Self, Gillespie and Tubby Smith were candidates. none of those make any sense at all (in terms of leaving their current jobs) Lol. Why stop there OSU? Phil Jackson and John Wooden are probably interested too. Sounds like the "candidates" for the Indiana job.

    I'm intrigued how you know Theriot is a better person compared to oh, just about anyone else on the team.

    Ducking out of work for the game tomorrow. It's win-win(-win) situation. If they win, then they won. If they lose, well the Cubs always lose when I go to games during playoff seasons.

    Would they consider Majerus? I know he just got to St. Louis but I would have to think he'd take it if offered. Majerus was the first name that immediately popped into my mind. Here's an interesting thought that Forde at ESPN pondered about. Bruce Weber to Marquette. Apparently Weber is from Milwaukee and a UWM grad. As a Marquette student, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Thoughts? Pat Forde knows the SEC and little else. Pat Forde talking about a midwest coaching vacancy is like me pondering who the next coach of Alcorn St. is.

I guess IU decided Pearl, Pitino, and Calipari weren't true Indiana men. yeah, i'm surprised they'll pay so much for crean, and they will, and they wouldn't give a sniff to any of the real expensive guys. i wonder what his buyout is? it's got to be a fortune, i mean, i think crean actually owns a controlling interest in marquette. Well that was sarcasm. Cause there was no way in hell a big time coach wanted a piece of the mess IU has become.

    I am getting a kick out of the guy on Peegs free board responding to posts saying different people (the AD, the IU pilot, etc.) were fired by Dakich for not running laps. It would seem Dakich has lost favorite son status. A really unfortunate, thankless position he's been in pretty much ever since he was made an assistant.

    I'm not particularly fond of Dakich kicking players off the team days before a new coach is announced, much less when he's publicly campaigned for the job. I would certainly hope this wasn't a unilateral decision, but, even still, I think it could've waited. As to why, you have heard the "rumored" reasons for the earlier suspensions, no? That's your answer. Out with it man. Drugs.

    Rumor out of Indiana saying Ellis and Bassett are transferring, Crawford likely as well.

    Miller doesn't want to leave Xavier and he has a 2M buyout. Kruger's wife supposedly hates cold weather, and wouldn't allow him to go back to the midwest. Montgomery I've heard conflicting things, some people say he's a west coast guy and would be more interested in the Cal job.

    I'm really struggling to understand how Curry's been deemed an NBA role player because of that last possession. He was the focus of every defense he played, and he still poured in gobs of points. I'm not saying he's going to be an all star, but writing him off at the age of 20 is the height of insanity.
