  1. Judging by the length of the name and the capitalization, it's DeAndre Thomas or DeShawn Thomas. Since other current college players were named and DeShawn Thomas is a minor, that's most likely who it is. Other minors were named. DeAndre Thomas was already implicated(probably the wrong word here) in the report that stemmed from the initial October self-reporting. It's likely him. Although Eric Gordon Jr. = DeAndre Thomas. Are you sure other minors were named? There are some current high school players named, but all are seniors I believe. They might not be minors (I am unsure). There are also no unsigned players that I know of -- well, besides Bud Mackey. And you're right, adding the "Jr." would change things. Didn't think about that. Derek Elston, IU committ in the class of '09 was named in the report.

  3. But what's the harm in making a token gesture?
  4. The way this is worded, it makes it sound like it's in the spirit of "... but other than THAT, how did you enjoy the show, Mrs Lincoln?" meh. I found it amusing. Konerko's a great baserunner.
  5. Guess who left their credit card at home?
  6. This is awesome.
  7. Independent of his blocking prospects though, this is a good deal. 1M for a #4/5? Sign me up.
  8. Zombie Dusty craves more arms.
  9. Of those three, I'd take Brownell. I might be biased, he went to my high school, but still. I like him a lot. If IU decides to go with a young up-and-comer, I hope it's Brownell. Of those 3 I'd rather you have Brownell too. Miller at IU scares the crap out of me.
  10. Mulleted fans? Domestic abuse convictions. Seriously though, south siders...beat their wives.
  11. Jock Jones running around the clubhouse in goggles?? Just kidding, I'll take a giant LEAP and guess which one your talking about. That picture of Jacques seriously is my favorite picture from last season.
  12. Permanent plz.
  13. Yeah, I'd definitely take Cabrera over Theriot. If Swisher is in CF, I'd take him over Pie, though Swisher's D will be pretty horrible if they stick him out there. Other than that, I'd take Vazquez over Lilly, and that's about it.
  14. um, Ryan, he probably won't if you're the one pitching He will if Millar's the one hitting.
  15. When one Ryan Theriot isn't enough...
  16. You'd think Deron was drafted on to the '97 Bulls with the way some people talk about him vs. Paul.
  17. This is just the 4th time Illinois has trailed at the half all year. That's incredible.
  18. seconded. It just looks sissy. Third. The worst part about the blues is wearing them with the pinstripe pants. My God, it's an abomination.
  19. Me and Cubbies75 concentrated on how our basketball team is littered with idiots. Score one for us. My favorite was SSR picking Chester Frazier 3rd Team All-Big 10. I haven't seen any teams out yet!!
  20. What happened there? Any reasons? Had leg injuries this year, played in only 3 games and had been passed on the depth chart by a couple freshmen in Tisdale and Davis, and likely a 3rd in Cole had he been healthy. In Illinois's guard oriented offense, being the 4th big man behind guys younger than you is pretty much useless. Recent talk was that he would take a redshirt for this season, but it's likely he wants a fresh start after what can only be described as a disaster of a start to his college career. The secondary importance from this to Illinois is that it frees the '10 scholarship up so both Richmond and Head have open schollies now. It was never a legit scenario that there wouldn't be one open for both, but more a matter of who wouldn't be using a scholly by then.
  21. Brian Carlwell has left the Illinois team, will transfer after spring semester. Sad ending to his Illinois career. He's still got a ton of potential, I hope he can still live up to it.
  22. Illinois, and to a lesser extent PSU, is a very dangerous team in the Big Ten tournament. I'd prefer IU avoid Illinois. If PSU still had Claxton, I'd agree. Of course they wouldn't be an 8 seed if they had him either.
  23. Can't be any worse than Gavin Floyd.
  24. SIU going in the crapper has killed the MVC this year. If Drake wins the tourney, they're a 1 bid conference.
  25. Ew, we could help Indiana. I mean, I'm sure we won't. But we could :(
