Horrible, just a horrible sentence. People need to get over this woe is us, things will never change BS. Laundry doesn't play stupid, players do. The Cubs players have played poorly for the last week. THEY HAVE THE BEST RECORD IN THE NL(.5 GAME FROM BEST IN BASEBALL) Stupid crap like "we're still the Cubs" is the drivel you get from ancient homers like Marty Brennaman and Mike Shannon. People who make Joe Morgan look like a reasoned thoughtful individual.

Not yet, but we are pretty much forsure going to lose 2 to the Giants (Cain & Lincecum) and the Orioles are garbage, no matter what their record is now, they will likely lose 90 games. We're pretty much for sure going to lose 2 to the Giants??

Those lucky ass Cardinals stole 2 out of 6 from the Royals and have Jason LaRue putting up a .229 .340 .337 line.

In case anyone's wondering, there is about 2 weeks between now and the all star break. Apparently some people believe we're losing 5 games in the standings in the next 2 weeks. It's gonna really suck when we finish 25 games out at the end of the season.

Yeah lets use that small sample size and ignore what they've done the other 80+ innings they've thrown this year, or the numbers they've all put up during their careers. Kenny Williams has made some really good acquisitions for little to nothing(Ramirez's salary, Thornton, his pen in '05, Pierzynski's first contract, Uribe before he sucked, Quentin was a steal. Oh and Contreras.

Were you cringing Gallagher's last 5 starts as he put up a 2.83 ERA? No but still in terms of experience? Gallagher maybe a good pitcher in the future but he is only 22 and still inexperienced. Marshall is a total different story as he doesn't belong starting. Maybe I'm just frustrated the way the whole team is playing and you can't blame the injuries because other guys gotta step up. Should I bold his #s next time?? He's a decent pitcher now!! Maybe we'd be better with an experienced guy like Steve Trachsel.
