    Didn't she swear up and down that the team was Canning's? She's been off on pretty much every fact she's given us about how the ownership situation will play out, but she comes coming back with a condescending tone because she knows the Red Sox groups combined. This isn't privleged information, everyone knows how the Red Sox deal went down. The fact that that worked for them(and the Nats I think), doesn't mean it will work now. Shockingly these tremendously rich people aren't all eager to dump a ton of money into something only to not be the guy who's even the head of the team.

    then he shouldn't be promoted. If you're going to burn an option on him, at least see what he's made of Samardzija's option was burned back in March.

    What makes you so sure Reinsdorf would vote no? I'm not saying that he won't, but I don't know for sure. I've heard about him not wanting somebody who would upstage him even more than he already is, but I think I remember Cuban saying he talked with Jerry about buying the team and acted as if they got along. Reinsdorf is the one pulling the strings on the fossilized used car salesman running baseball right now. You can barely even see Reinsdorf's lips moving these days. Rather skilled for an old man.

    People also love comparing utterly non-analogous situations like a team full of 16 year olds or an office full of cubicles when relating how chemistry affects a baseball team.

    If kids are so resilient why do psychologists always hunt for something in your childhood that explains why you are so screwed up now? have you been watching Frazier again? I have. And i got to say its more depressing than watching the Cubs suck. Haven't seen a more boring TV show. (actually i may have but im not sure.) Frasier's a great great show.

    He has better control of the slider. He hasn't really been hanging it. When he's had trouble it's been that he hasn't thrown strikes, not that he's getting hit hard.

    And we've been hovering around 20 games over for a long time, something like 2 months You're missing the fun of arbitrary start points. The Cubs are 40-28 in that timeframe.

    To be honest, I still don't understand why a split would be the best thing. I've been rooting for a sweep the whole time, and while I preferred a Cardinals sweep, a Brewers sweep isn't too bad either. Brewers sweep is bad because they're much better than the Cardinals.

    I said during the all star game that Uggla would never make another all star game. He's made my outrageous claim look somewhat not completely impossible since then.

    Any by "long man" you mean pitch for 2 innings in a blowout and then get 10 days off. Well when you have 4 of them, it's hard to get them all consistent work.
