    Paying mostly attention to the Cubs game I'm pretty shocked to see ND still in this game. Call me crazy, but I've got the winner of this game knocking on the door of/in the top 25.

    Gotcha, no there will be no afternoon postseason games for the Cubs. The Cubs are going to be the biggest draw in the playoffs and will get the primetime slot for each of their games. The neighborhood agreement doesn't apply to playoff games. EDIT: It's possible the Cubs get an afternoon weekend game or 2 for the NLDS.

    The Cubs are great at doing that to us, aren't they? Why in the hell would you be stressed or angry right now. The season is over, we're Central champs and have homefield advantage throughout the NL playoffs. Because true Cubs fans live and die on every pitch... I do it too, knowing full well what you said. Oh. Well, I'm just here for the chicken wings.

    Ohio and Troy would destroy the teams PSU has played so far. But yeah, OSU is looking pretty pathetic this year. It's awesome. Northwestern is handling Ohio much better than OSU did Northwestern: 16 Ohio: 8

    Good point, the HFA number is 3 cause with a 3-6 finish we wind up 95-66 while the Mets could win out and they'd be 95-67. Wouldn't they play the game if it came down to that? Or does it matter when it only decides seeding? I was under the impression the games were only made up if they mattered for making the playoffs or not, but the only example I can find is the Giants in '03, and baseballmusings back in '03 attributed that to the Giants request not to play it since they were the only ones with anything to gain. Interesting to see what they'd do if the situation arose(it won't)

    They mentioned this in the past about capping a day of game roster at something like 30 during September games. It's pointless. All teams would do is not include their other 4 starting pitchers on their day of game roster.

    Why not give Fuku starts after the clinch? That seems to make much more sense than running old man Edmonds out there outside of a few stretch starts. I meant that more as in if 'Lix looks legit to think about going with that alignment for a game in the playoffs.

    I wouldn't be opposed to giving Pie some starts in CF down the stretch with the idea of the possibility of him in CF, Edmonds in RF.
