    Amaya is now 2/2 throwing out base runners. And he's 1-2 at the dish. 3-3 now. This is really fun.

    Amaya already 1-1 in CS. Assad with 2 Ks to starte the game. Good start.

    Karp will have 2 years of eligibility remaining, due to a car wreck his Freshman year. Could be a tougher sign, although he won't have a rotation spot next year for FSU either. I would put a decent amount of money on Vazquez signing. He doesn't have a college commitment and he's from Puerto Rico. But yeah, any prep player taken after round 20 is not a good bet to sign.

    I can find nothing online about 14th rounder Luis Vazquez, other than he's from Puerto Rico, and somebody made a terrible video of him working out.

    Pretty surprised that Kwang-Min Kwon made the Eugene roster. AZPhil made is sound like he's not ready for SS ball.

    Rollie Lacy, RHP - Creighton - Stop me if you've heard this, but he has Cape Cod experience.

    That's what I figured. Can't imagine Estrada getting anywhere near that. I'd honestly be surprised if he even took the $1.5 million that Cease got.

    Well that's a boner-killing series of tweets. That's a waste of about $235K in the bonus pools if he doesn't sign. This FO is just so good at manipulating numbers though, that you have to believe they knew what they were doing.

    Wow. Did not think Estrada was at all signable. They obviously felt good about it if he's being taken in the 6th.

    Well that's good news that he already got his degree. Hopefully he takes slot. He's not the type of guy I would be happy paying overslot for.

    Erich Uelman. Another collegiate pitcher with Cape Cod League experience. Another meh pick overall, unfortunately. 5 straight college pitchers to start the draft. Someone go check on the FO to make sure they weren't kidnapped!

    It will be interesting to see if he's taken. Supposedly both Enlow and Allen told teams not to draft them after last night.

    Shorter? Isn't he 6'3"? I'm with you on both likely as bullpen arms though. Of course, college arms available at 27 and 30 aren't going to be slam dunks.

    horsefeathers I hope I'm wrong about Lange. I really do not like him as a prospect. It's apparent that the "type of pitcher" that McLeod was referring to was one with a really good curveball.

    Where did Little spend last summer? That's right. Another Cape Cod pick by this regime. 8-) horsefeathers the Lange pick. I hate him as a prospect. Reliever.

    Keith Law tweeted that a source for a team with a lower top 10 pick informed him that Lewis looks to be the 1st pick. It's been McKay/Wright for the past 3 months it seems. Crazy how weird this draft is up top.

    Probably not a surprise that his pre-draft MRI results are bad.

    I talked to a guy this morning about Varsho who have seen him personally, and he told me that he's much closer to 30th in this class than he is to 60. Apparently the bat is a lot better than what little I could find to read about online. One guy I trust told me that he would consider placing a 70 on his raw power (still about 55 in-game). That's significantly better than what the interwebz would have me believe. Thinks he's a 55 hit guy as well. Said the arm was "pitiful" but that he received the ball "adequately". Above average runner that could play LF if need be, which he thinks is likely. Honestly, that package sounds a bit similar to what Schwarber was coming out. It's only one guy, but he's watched a lot of baseball in that region. I trust his report.

    When signed, he was thought of as a defensive-first catcher with gold glove potential. He clearly has displayed an elite ability to throw our guys so far. BA's scouting reports on him when he signed didn't even mention his apparent howitzer of an arm. They pointed to how advanced he was as a receiver and that he showed early strength as a framer. I'm not asking for much. I'll take prime Carlos Ruiz as his comp, since they are both from Panama.
