    I don't get it, he was a starter and played 25-30 minutes per game. Curbelo was more the pure point guard, but Miller was the shooting guard poised to take over Ayo's shot volume most of all. Me neither, just don't get it, hopefully, Underwood has something in the works to replace him. Seriously, starting on a program back on the rise, would have had a great PG to set him up next season, what the horsefeathers else could he want? It doesn't make sense at all, unless like you said Underwood has something in the works.

    We showed we can be solid without Ayo when he was hurt. I feel really good about next year, especially if Kofi stays.

    I wouldn't say Loyola "gambled" on Kofi not passing effectively out of the post. If you've watched the Illini the past couple of years, he's shown that he doesn't pass out of the post much at all, he's got one thing in mind and that's to score. Porter also consistently put Kofi in a pick and roll situation, which again, if you've watched the Illini the past few seasons it's a great strategy. I'm mostly upset that Underwood did not adjust AT ALL. He had too much Matt Nagy in him on Sunday.

    I can't think of an offseason in recent memory (maybe even my lifetime) where so many QB's are available, whether FA or trade, and somehow the Bears will mess this up.

    I would bet that the Bears end up with Wentz or Ryan this offseason. More likely Wentz because he's younger and knows the system.

    Shots fired!!! I don't see those as shots fired at all. Schwarber is all class, he's not going to take shots at the Cubs.

    He's had one short stint of great play and looong stretches of below average-mundane play. Bringing him on was simply trying to catch lightening in a bottle. I still hate we traded for him when others like Dalton, Bridgewater, Newton either became available or were available. Foles is better than all those guys though. Maybe not better than Bridgewater, but just clearly outplayed him head-to-head (of course didn't face the same caliber of defense). Not to mention a better fit. I know this is unpopular, but I kinda feel like this is going to be a best case scenario type of season. Foles is winning games, but not playing so well that the Bears do something stupid like giving him more money or pretending he's a long-term answer. They should still go out and get a long-term QB in the draft, and they don't necessarily have to throw him on the field right away or have pressure to do so like they did with Trubisky, because they should have competent play ahead of the rookie. It's a lot better scenario than losing a bunch of games, still not losing enough to get the top QB, and not having a competent bridge guy for your potential franchise QB. 100%. This is our best case scenario right now.

    Agree with your take for the most part. The two touchdowns that were taken away were beautiful balls by Foles too. He just looks so calm and comfortable back there.
