    Love to see them carry out the bum-slaying effectively. Now to get their stuff together for the streetch run. I was surpised to see Murray ahead of Nate Davis coming in (moving Pryor to LG). Hope Jenkins is OK, didn't really notice Murray, which is a good thing. Also don't ask Doug Kramer to do things a TE would do. He's a C. Let him run straight ahead and block if he has an extra job. PS - Hoge and Jahns were trying to come up with a nickname for Kramer leading Roschon, I told them to use DoJo.

    What are thoughts on Shaw being with the team from the break and playing regularly with the 2B/SS/3B group? Say 6 games a week, 18 game slots get split like 5/5/4/4 between Dansby/Paredes/Nico/Shaw. Nico and Shaw can move around based on who isn't playing. In the event of injury the other three play every day. Keep Shaw from being thrown to the wolves or rotting on the bench, gives you a little matchup related action....

    I'm encouraged by Caleb's progress, but LA coming in to this game ranked 30-32 in several key defensive metrics. I can't remember them all, but you get the idea. Also, whoever said earlier that the divisional teams are much better than their recent/upcoming schedule is right on. If the next 4-5 weeks this team can gel and acutally get better they will have a fighting chance in some of the games in the second half.

    Love the breakdown. I have to admit I was a little too optimistic going into this season. I knew there would be a lot of rookie struggles but nothing like the total OL/Running game regression to worst in the league. I am emotionally hedging and resigning myself to another loss featuring never seen before failures along the way. That said, there was so much good from Caleb and Rome last week....hard not to envision the breakthrough coming, especially against the Rams as you laid out.

    This blitz pickup and some of the OLine confusion makes me think a lot of this is the coaching staff getting the team prepared properly. Last year the first game they had no clue what was going on and GB made them look absolutely awful. It took some time for the plans to come together and it seems like it's happening again this year. I wonder if it's a cultural thing of overrating practice/preseason performance, the old Dunning Kreuger fallacy. Poles was out there saying how impressed he was with this group, how it felt special, so hard to make this team. The joint practices and preseason time against all vanilla/second and third string defenses and everyone if feeling pretty positive. 4-0 preseason record, LFG!! Then when it's time to actually play the game everyone shits the bed and doesn't know what the hell to do without a Will Levis experience to give you the W Only other thing is Caleb is making the biggest jump in talent and his OL and blitz pick up is at best confused and at worst trash, making the transition all the more difficult. But I think he'll get through it and be competent. Maybe next year we'll have to 4000 yard 30 TD QB we've all been dreaming about

    I live arond South Bend, so Notre Dame doing well is a big deal to this community. However, I am wearing my Purdue shirt today. Definitely a long shot, but if they put ND on their ass today it would essentially end their season. Purdue should put up some points, will be interesting to see if the ND QB can get his horsefeathers together this week.

    Cowboys/Browns game, Parsons is getting to Watson. The RT goes out for injury and the announcer says "Germain Ifedi in at RT." I thought, look out, and sure enough parsons drills Watson running past Ifedi. I had to laugh, but also surprised he is still in the league

    Average starting field position is the 29 yard line with the new rules (per Hoge & Jahns pod) Hoge wondered if teams would consider just booting it through the end zone and letting teams start on the 35 versus the downside risk of a big return. Just a theory he was floating as a ST guy...

    I believe Seattle got the Bears pick and Cleveland got the Miami pick based on some unsubstantiated Twitter folks. Seems obvious that the Bears wouldn't trade the Pittsburgh pick We are now down to: 1, 2 (Carolina), 2, 3, 5, 6 (Pittsburgh Conditional), 7 (Cleveland)
