    My comment on page 1 of this thread discusses this as well, and I was assuming that Bates would be back to take snaps ahead of Davis. Amegadgie should always have been T4 at best (#1 swing tackle is T3). I can't imagine that Pryor wouldn't be better suited to be T3, moving out from G if/when needed ahead of Curran, but we didn't see that last week . I'd have to look at the actives/inactives from last week to see if there was no other way. The whole "best depth" statements from the team early on really make you wonder who they were watching.

    The idea of 9 players for 8 spots is a good one. Injury, slumps, rest are all good enough reasons why. You also get real threats available to pinch hit and play matchups later in games. I still like the idea of breaking camp with Shaw in a rotation with the infield. I did the math once on 6 games a week, 18 spaces for 3B, SS, 2B - give Dansby 5-6, Paredes, 5-6, Nico, 4-5, Shaw 3-4. The high and low sides at up to 18 each. Increase/decrease based on all the factors above. The OF/DH thing was shown above, same idea. With Cody now you add 1B to the rotation. I like it

    I would love to hear Eberflus say something like: "Tyrique let his teammates down, and that's the worst thing you can do as a player in this league. This wasn't a situation where he was engaged and tried his best and the other team's player beat him. He has to prove to his teammates and the coaching staff that he is serious about football and focused on helping this team win." I might add something like, "he will also find out that this kind of thing can follow you around into free agency and cost you some real money"

    I think your take is reasonable, but my concern from FA through the draft and now to the present is that their OL sucks. There is no cure for ****** OL, especially when they start getting injured. I'm glad that Borom and Bates are coming back, but their return along with losses of Braxton and maybe Jenkins have us treading water. Braxton was never really good enough, so downgrading/staying equal with Borom is just OK, same with Bates in place of Jenkins (to be clear I don't know that he's missing time, but until we know he's back I'm concerned). Murray was looking decent but he's gone now. There's just, no optimistic take going forward from this group....

    ESPN lists Jones as week to week with a knee injury Jenkins, Murray both left with injuries and did not return. Tev looked like he got bent in half on the Kramer goal line fumble. Given he's had back issues that scared me. Would be a good time for Borom and Bates to get back in the fold. Kramer was playing G at the end of the game next to Kiran, rough left side....

He's probably in the "win with" group, but the little impact a coach can have on gameday pushes him towards "win in spite of," or in the case of these four near certain wins, lose

    The division games are going to be tough. I'm concerned mainly about the OL performance allowing for a good enough running game and pressure pick up. Watching Green Bay hold Stroud to 86 passing yards gives me some unease. The Vikings D can easily confuse our OL if not Caleb. Detroit is just a beast of a team right now. Winning 2 out of 6 would feel like an accomplishment to me. I just don't trust that any improvement we've seen in the OL will translate when facing a legitimate DL/pressure front.

    3/40 or up to 3/40+ through playing time seems reasonable. Davis got 3/30, so I was thinking like 3/36. I kind of wrote it backwards, tho Someone might pay him 3/48 or more, but getting him in season like this should knock off the extra FA premium, I'd hope

    I think I would offer him something like the Nate Davis deal, ratcheted up for a couple years of inflation. Something like 3/30 with a chance to make a little more? That is something like top 20 G money, which I think is as highly as anyone would considered him to be. Not sure where we think that lands on Big Tev

    I resisted starting the mock draft chatter last weekend. The Tankathon draft in particular had me excited with the positions drafted in each spot (I don't know the individual players well enough to prefer one over the other): 1/18 - DE Williams, Ohio St 2/35 - IOL Booker, Alabama 2/50 - DL Corleone, Cincinnati 3/82 - WR Anderson, Oklahoma (this was previously another IOL, I assumed more of a C - can't remember who) Essentially the trenches on both sides. Agree that FA should be used to put us in BPA territory as either succession planning, instant training camp position battle, or just depth. If we went DE, G, DT, C I'd be perfectly happy with that provided the value was right.

    Waldron is the kind of OC who will not get hired to be a HC, but he might be a " slightly above average" OC with an excellent QB. I think of him kind of like a Spagnoulo without the failed HC experience. Also, I applaud the team finally sitting out Nate Davis. Hard to make a FA splash inactive, but boy ol' Nate forced their hand. Let every position be a competition, every week; keep that edge on every player.

    Checking out Tankathon to see who has the #1 pick so far. Cleveland and Carolina are 2 and 4, have to think Cleveland would take a QB at this point. Maybe they'll sign Flacco again next year. Carolina, I assume they're going to get Bryce back in the games at some point this year, especially since they are 1-3 with Dalton at the helm.

    Yeah, >50% of the QB snaps, I think Through week 5, he has 328 out of 330 snaps, for 99.39%
