  1. This. I, for one, do not miss the days of desperate hopes of guys like Eric Jokisch, Wes Darvill, Jae Hoon Ha, and Robert Whitenack could blossom into serviceable-ish big leaguers. Damn, I remember being legitimately geeked up over Robert Whitenack. Didn't he have an amazing High A or Double A out of nowhere, then injury the next year, and gone forever?
  2. Heard that on my way home. I think they said he had an offer from the Bears, then they signed CJ Wilson. Prediction: RJF will be a "Cardinals style" stud for the Packers this year.
  3. Browns take Lattimore, though I considered RB Cook, EDGE Charlton, even Jabril Peppers for SS, but it seems pretty high for him.
  4. Not sure what to do here for the Browns. Lattimore would be BPA at this point, but Cleveland actually has two decent starters there. More need for a starter at QB, TE, S, but none seem to merit this high of a pick (was hoping Howard would be here).
  5. Buffalo needs a QB badly. Too high for that pick here? Kizer, Mahomes, who am I missing?
  6. Have you seen this article by one of the Browns FO? https://harvardsportsanalysis.wordpress.com/2011/11/30/how-to-value-nfl-draft-picks/ The old chart that everyone looks at originates from Jimmy Johnson's days at Dallas. This puts the #3 pick at 2200 points. #1 is 3000. You're all aware of this one. For example, look at a Jet's trade up to 3 #3 = #6 + #38 + #102 1, 3, 4 to move up 3 spots The new one in the link could been seen as the Brown's chart. The implication is that top picks are highly overvalued and mid-round picks are undervalued. #3 is the Browns chart is 401 points. #3 = #6 + #166 (or #134 if it takes a slight premium) 1, 5 or 6 A more extreme example might be seen by trading further down in Round 1. Let's use the Broncos at pick 20. They have a lot of mid round picks that will make matching up values easier. Regular Chart #3 = 20 + 52 + 80 + 101 + 126 + 177 + 203 + 252 + 253 + still short by 600 points OR #3 = 20 + 52 or 80 + 2018 1st round pick Browns Chart #3 + 131 (5th rounder) = 20 + 51 + 101 It would be pretty fascinating to see each team's chart.
  7. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5122/ricky-jean-francois Bears just heavily attended Deshaun Watson's pro-day. Now meeting wiith another DL. Nobody will mistake signing Francois for drafting, Allen, but it's fun to try to connect the dots.
  8. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/12132/leonard-fournette Who wants to trade past JAX to draft Fournette? Give me a trade down partner, somebody
  9. Titans selected Jamal Adams, S, LSU
  10. Going once, twice, Allen Jacksonville is on the clock (who has JAX?)
  11. An immediate starter is needed at 5T and #1 CB. Either Allen or Lattimore is what I think Pace will do. I don't see anyone trading up for this pick
  12. I think that was Jaso from the Pirates. Awesome play. Jaso was so irritated after the play Jankowski from San Diego. I buy that. Do they both have stupid hair or just Jaso?
  13. I think that was Jaso from the Pirates. Awesome play. Jaso was so irritated after the play
  14. I love listening to those announcers
  15. I think that's probably good for Hall. He doesn't have great speed, but I like his long arms in deep jump balls. In college he played some LB (rover) in addition to S and CB, so he is probably pretty interchangable for SS/FS.
  16. If we are the Browns want to talk to NSB Belichick
  17. Browns take Myles Garrett
  18. So he hit that at least how far, 430?! I'd guess 450. It hit 20+ feet high at 410
  19. When I read the Rotoworld report on Cooper it made me think he would not be a starter. But the contract makes me think he is. Does Porter have experience in the slot? I don't see how they cut him with their current CB roster. They have a ton of depth guys to sort through, but not enough starter caliber talent to dump him.
  20. I would do any combination of 12+extra picks. If it was 33, 65 I would just go true BPA on 12, 33, 36, 52, 67 targeting #1 WR (maybe Corey Davis), #1 CB (lots of options), 5T, TE, QB, S. Maybe something like 12 - WR - Davis/Williams 33 - CB - Gareon Conley 36 - 5T - Malik McDowell 52 - TE - Evan Engram 67 - S - Desmond King OR 12 - 5T - Jon Allen 33 - WR - Curtis Samuel 36 - CB - Marlon Humphrey 52 - QB - Mahomes/Webb/Peterman 67 - TE - Jordan Leggett
  21. So roster is this at the moment: QB - Glennon, Shaw, ________ RB - Howard, Langford, Karey FB - Lasike T - Leno, Massie, Compton G - Sitton, Long, Kush C - Whitehair, Grasu TE - Miller, Sims, Brown/Pruitt/Braunecker/_______ WR 1 - Meredith, Bellamy/_______ WR 2 - White, Addison/Anderson/Randle/_______ Slot - Wright, Wheaton/Braverman (Royal rumored to be cut) 5T - Hicks, Unrein, Sutton/Lewis-Moore NT - Goldman, Ferguson 5T - _______, Bullard OLB - McPhee, Young, Floyd, Houston, Robertson-Harris ILB - Freeman, Trevathan, Kwiatkowski, Anderson, Jones, Timu CB 1 - Amukamara, Cooper CB 2 - Porter, Hall, Fuller, McManis/Banks/Bausby/Glenn/Reynolds Nickel - Callahan, LeBlanc S - Demps, Amos, Jones-Quartey, Hurst, Bush, Houston-Carson ST - Scales, O'Donnell, Barth Biggest 2017 needs: #1 5T #1 WR #1 CB/CB Upgrade TE Upgrade FS Upgrade T Upgrade #2 NT
  22. What would you take to swap spots with Jax to give them their choice? The famous draft chart says #4 + 2nd = #3 + 4th + 5th, but I can't see that happening. The other "Browns" chart shows the difference in value to be less than any draft pick. I'd think a 4th, maybe a 3rd at most.
  23. They just had a second meeting with Jonathan Allen. While I agree that CB seems out at 3, I don't think it means anything as far as taking a QB there either.....I think Allen(if they aren't scared by the arthritis) or Adams is much more likely than a QB myself.....Or a trade down, if remotely possible. And really like the Cooper move. Wonder if they're looking at Butler as a S? Patterson visited today too. I can't believe that they would risk another top pick by picking Allen who has known shoulder issues. In a vacuum, maybe you can say he's still the top talent and go with it. But after White's injuries and Floyd playing a half season it seems like a bad decision. They've seen the medicals, though, so maybe it's not that bad. If it's something that will be a problem 10 years from now, take Allen if you like him and don't look back.
  24. More of an inside/nickel I think. They're clearly still active on DBs which is interesting considering the draft depth and our current depth. Wonder if Porter could be cut (~3m savings). Perhaps a Fuller trade for a late pick too. They seem to like LeBlanc amd Callahan even though both project as nickel/ST guys. And McManis has been a favorite for a long time as a ST contributor. Let's see... CB: Amukamara, Porter, Fuller, Hall, Callahan, LeBlanc, Glenn, Banks, McManis Safety: Demps, Amos, Jones-Quartey, Hurst, Bush, Houston-Carson
  25. Wtf @ their way of writing innings 68 0/100. Really horsefeathering weird. But exciting stuff nonetheless. Best case scenario for Cease is what? Start 2017 at Low-A, with a promotion to High-A? Then 2018 make it to Tennessee? 2019 big jump to MLB?
