    Are some of you really going to be seriously upset if Garza is dealt? I know there are caveats, so lets just say the package will range from absolutely fair (about the same as we gave to Tampa) to slight overpay (Better than Tampa package). Still upset?

    Strasburg Zimmermann Gonzalez Jackson Wang/Detwiler Very nice rotation. Very, very nice. If you can't tell, I am excited for Nationals baseball this season.

    Maddux. Glavine. Smoltz. Hellickson. Price. Moore. I have a good friend who is a Rays fan. He loves these guys. Not that he or I believe it will happen, but is this the most comparable front three since those nineties Braves? Do you see any way they can do what they did? Personally, I believe the talent level is there, but I don't ever see a threesome as amazingly dominant as MGS ever happening again.

    If we are trying to trade Garza, which is the prudent thing to do, I don't see how signing Jackson to multiple years makes any sense whatsoever.

    Awful contract. If the rumors of ownership handcuffing are true, then I hope they REALLY throw caution to the wind and trade for Garza. Yowza!

    The Brewers are way over projected budget. Unless Prince wants to play for peanuts and high-fives, I don't think he will be back. Plus, Boras/Fielder aren't grasping at straws, they are just waiting to see what happens. I think Texas and Darvish played a role, but Texas isn't out of it. At this point, it is about creativity. Fielder wants to win, so he is probably willing to see how creative the Rangers can get before signing with the Nationals or us, which is a huge long shot.

    Nice to hear they were wanting Oswalt. I would imagine they are our strongest potential partner at this point. Honestly, no one else really makes much sense. I wish the Blue Jays were in the mix, but AA does things on the down low so who knows.

    Reid Brignac is a big pile of terrible, plus he is only two months younger than Barney. How exactly is he a better option than Darwin?

    Should, but doesn't have to be. Dayton Moore can really put that team in a position to win with a trade and subsequent extension of Garza, followed by signing a decently cheap Oswalt. Garza Oswalt Sanchez Hochevar Duffy Not bad.

    I wonder if losing V-Mart will make the Tigers more aggressive? That is a pretty large stick they just lost, and I don't think they have much in line to replace him. Big blow for the Tigers.
