    No to Verlander, yes to Kershaw. Honestly, if arms were the target, I would be seeing what the Diamondbacks would give up. Bauer, Skaggs, Bradley. Hell, now that I am typing this, I don't know if I would pull the trigger for all three. I would definitely want a bat.

    I would trade Castro for Bryce, Strasburg, Carlos Gonzalez, Tulo, Longoria, or maybe Kemp. A piece of me would die inside if Castro wasn't a Cub, so the return would have to be other worldly.

    I don't think there would be much outrage if we drafted Giolito and he didn't sign. Getting two top ten picks next draft, and missing out on a first rounder in a weak class isn't really the end of the world.

    I check the standings every night before I go to bed. I am actively rooting for the Cubs to finish dead last. If they beat out the Astros, Royals, Mariners, and Twins, it will be quite the accomplishment.

    That isn't a bad scenario, but I don't understand the Jackson love here. That rotation is banking on early returns from Dempster and Shark. Since maybe Hamels is going to command so much, I really think Greinke should be the preferred choice here.

    Everyone's favorite name a few months ago, Jacob Turner, was just promoted to AAA. Looks like he is about to smell some rotation time. I think the Tigers have to try the kid out soon or make a deal.

    Pretty sure the agent will inform their clients on what the latest offer entails, so on and so forth. Starlin would have to devote a certain amount of time and head space to that process. I understand where he is coming from, and I wouldn't want to do it either.

    is this a serious question? of course teams value a player based on what he has done i imagine the Red Sox looking into a magical snowglobe and seeing all that John Lackey was going to do for them and saying "yup, that is worth $82.5 million to us" Larry very well may have done just that.
