  1. Naw, Rizzo just has to work on some things and show he is still a stud. Worst case scenario is moving LaHair to LF if the guy is actually putting up a passable line.
  2. Drool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1icMpCv-uI0
  3. I really wish we could Texas to give us Profar for him. Yeah, my head would explode if that happened. I think the highest prospect we could reasonable expect would be Turner, not that there is anything at all wrong with Turner. Dempster Wood Turner Volstad Wells Yeah? Yeah! Whatever...
  4. Oh my goodness, I can't stop grinning. Whoopie!!! Blue Jays!! Step up and give to get Garza. DO IT NOW
  5. garblegarblegarblegarblegarble [expletive] yes [expletive] yes [expletive] yes [expletive] yes [expletive] yes!!!!
  6. Starlin is a tank. Nothing phases Starlin. I think we can pencil him in for an easy .308/.364/.480 this season. All-Star appearance. Probably about 10-20 game winning hits. Starlin laughs in the face of adversity.
  7. Actively trying to lose?!? Seriously? Just stop.
  8. Who are you arguing with? Honestly, it could easily happen.
  9. I believe it will be decided in March.
  10. Uh ... I'd challenge the notion that the Nationals are unlikely to make the playoffs in 2012. Not saying they will, but that's a very strong team ... without Fielder/Harper/Rendon. Add in the system to make trades, and I think their chances of making the playoffs are as good as most of the perceived top teams in the majors. Exactly. It is pretty interesting seeing nonrecognition of the talent their 25 man squad exhibits. Even in the NL East, this is a team that can and will surprise barring any major setbacks on the injury front. Barring any setbacks, they could still easily finish 4th in their division. We can play this game all day long, but it wouldn't be a shock to see them finish ahead of Philly, Miami, and Atlanta. They stack up very comparably to all three.
  11. Who? Also keep in mind they lost their 2 most productive hitters from last year's team. Keep in mind? Ok. Of course I am referencing Stewart and DeJesus.
  12. Excellent post TT. The off season isn't even close to over, this team has strengthened their rotation, and added some intriguing offensive pieces. I am not saying they are going to be world beaters, but with the possible addition of an extra wild card spot it is easier to make the playoffs than ever before.

  14. .680-.700, and that's me being really optimistic.
  15. Guys, Dan Johnson started off as the opening day first baseman for the Rays. Look how that turned out.
  16. Jorge Soler - OF - Player Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe was told by a baseball source that the Red Sox may bid for Jorge Soler rather than Yoenis Cespedes. Related: Red Sox, Yoenis Cespedes Source: Boston Globe Jan 4 - 2:25 PM Theo needs to win this duel again.
  17. I just wanted to try the cliched over the top approach for a change.
  18. Probably not. The dude is a one-trick pony. IT'S OVER GUYS!!!!!!!
  19. For Montero, hell yes and hell yes another thousand times.
  20. You are really short selling the Nationals right now. 1B Fielder 2B Rendon 3B Zimmerman SS Espinosa C Ramos LF Morse CF Werth RF Harper? Strasburg Zimmermann Gonzalez Wang? Detwiler? Lannan? Bullpens always fluctuate, but I am sure they can get by. That is a really, really solid lineup. The front 3 of the rotation is border line disgusting. I would be thrilled if that was a Cubs squad.
