  1. Cubs Lineup.. Byrd - CF Baker - 3B Lee - 1B Nady - DH Soto - C Soriano - LF Colvin - RF Castro - SS Theriot - 2B Wells - P
  2. Haven't seen the Cubs lineup yet... Mariners Ichiro RF Chone Figgins 2B Milton Bradley DH Jose Lopez 3B Franklin Gutierrez CF Josh Wilson SS Casey Kotchman 1B Rob Johnson C Michael Saunders LF Cliff Lee LHP (5-3, 2.55)
  3. They need this one badly with Lee/Hernandez the next 2 days with Wells/TBD pitching for the Cubs. Silva got thrown back to the weekend.
  4. Ramirez isn't coming back until the weekend according to Gordon Wittenmyer from Sun-Times.
  5. No Perkins in Game Seven via Torn MCL/Partial Torn PCL. Big blow for the Celtics.
  6. Brewers lineup SS Craig Counsell 2B Rickie Weeks 1B Prince Fielder LF Ryan Braun 3B Casey McGehee CF Jim Edmonds RF Corey Hart C George Kottaras LHP Randy Wolf
  7. People wanted defense in the Finals, and they got it.. Ugly game.. Ugly, ugly defensive game..
  8. This game is a split image of Game 2 with the Celtics getting hammered by the officials... Celtics' best player (Pierce) with 5 fouls..
  9. Still baffled by the Garnett call. And yeah, they really need Odom to step up. He, Artest and Fisher shot 4-21 tonight and just as Pierce's crap performance helped negate what Allen did, those three canceled out the great games Gasol and Bynum had. Even though the Celtics took that game, I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. Gasol/Bynum are destroying Garnett/Perkins/Wallace/Davis in this series. Artest is shutting down Pierce like he should be, and Allen isn't going to shoot 8-11 from downtown every night. Lastly, Rondo still can't make a jumpshot. Add on that Lamar Odom has played like crap, and Kobe was in foul trouble/played like crap -- I think the Lakers are okay. I think Boston needed this game because they're probably not going to win every game at home (I think it's only been done twice in NBA history with the away team taking every game -- Miami and Detroit, I think).
  10. Can anyone tell me how they blew that replay with 2 minutes left when the ball was clearly out on Garnett? That and the Rondo call at the end pretty much daggered the Lakers tonight. Lamar Odom not showing up is killing the Lakers.
  11. Pittsburgh is in a severe t-storm warning right now so I would assume not for awhile.
  12. If Cubs fans stop going to Wrigley, he'll have no choice.
  13. For those who didn't see it. http://www.gifsoup.com/view/620749/kobe-insane-shot-over-hill-o.gif

  15. LaRussa says it's pretty likely that Ottavino pitches tomorrow.
  16. Don't know where to put this, but LaRussa said that Ottavino will likely get the start tomorrow. Been fairly pedestrian this year in Triple A. 4-3, 4.17 era.. 41 innings, 37:11 k to bb, batted .239 against him. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=t235&t=p_pbp&pid=493603
  17. Baker had an ocular migraine and his sight is back today. Zambrano is back with the team taking grounders so he's fine too according to Muskat.
  18. How crazy would it be to see another Boston team blow a 3-0 lead after the Bruins did it? That whole city would be on suicide watch.
  19. Didn't lose power, did you? My DIRECTV says Dodgers @ Cubs at 7 on CSN.
  20. Considering the NFL has shifted towards a passing league, this is an extremely terrible idea especially when it's probably going to be cold, snowy and windy during that Super Bowl game.
  21. Just Phil trying to force the Lakers to pay him his 12 million a year to coach them. I really doubt the Lakers pay him that much. As valuable as the Lakers are Jerry Buss isn't one of the wealthier owners in the league. Now the Knicks or Nets could be big players for Jackson if the bidding gets nuts. Lakers are paying him around 10 million a year right now to coach the team right now, and Phil wants 12 million to continue coaching the Lakers. Lakers want him to take a couple million dollar paycut because paying 10-12 million dollars for a coach is ridiculous. The Lakers also want to give Jackson a one year deal because of the impending lockout after next season and are grooming Brian Shaw right now to be the next coach when Jackson is gone/retired. Phil has also already said that he only has a couple more years left, his girlfriend is Jerry Buss' daughter, and the Lakers are more loaded than the Bulls would be even with Lebron James. Also, he has already said on one occasion that he's not replacing Vinny Del Negro. Just ESPN throwing crap together to see if it sticks. Pipe dream.

  25. And that makes him like a man who swore under oath that he took steroids how? More of a Sosa. Yes like Sosa, but Armstrong's impact on cycling was much like Bonds in baseball (which I was aiming for). And there is probable evidence that Lance took EPO during his 1999 race. http://articles.latimes.com/2006/jul/09/sports/sp-armstrong9/12
