    Looking at UFA Goaltenders, the only names that I see that are the top of UFA class for Goalies are Turco and Mason. Where do you think they will land?

    I know this maybe a dumb idea, Snayke, but why not reacquire Weaver from the Dodgers? He's been a good reliever and he's better than Hawksworth.

    If he could have gone to the 5th inning and not have Tony yank him, the Cardinals wouldn't be losing right now. But of course, he brings in Hawksworth after Salas. :banghead:

    Snayke, Suppan is with the Cardinals because they *think* he can be a better starter than Hawksworth/Walters. 2/5 of the Cards' rotation is out because of injuries. Ottavino has only made two starts and has only pitched 10 2/3 innings. He should have won the game against the Brewers but Reyes blew it. You can't tell after two starts that Ottavino may or may not be a starter.

    I am really happy with the Cardinals draft. They are going to have to pay way above slot money for Wilson, though.

    I'm surprised that Ottavino has been this good, so far. I thought right about now, he'd be in some trouble.

    Eh, Ottavino may not last that long. They called up Evan MacLane, a LHP, just in case Ottavino doesn't last long and he'd be used as a long reliever.

    IMO, this series will be about pitching more so than offense. Carpenter vs. Wells will make an interesting match up.

    As a Cardinal fan, Carpenter has only complained about baseballs in Cincinnati. Finally, the a Cardinals-Cubs matchup. Anyways, Saturday a rookie is likely to make his debut as the SP with Lohse on the DL.

    Well, Lohse's replacement, P.J. Walters has been impressive this year in the minors and has been better than Lohse. Wells strikes him out. It doesn't matter what piece of Howry you put in your rotation, they'll do just fine. Eh, the bullpen seems burnt out right now. It may be addition by subtraction. Your team era is sub 3. That's so burnt out. I'm talking about the past two days. They had to pitch 6 innings yesterday and 5 2/3 today.
