  1. The thing that puzzles me the most in this whole thing is why Trammell wasn't named the interim manager?
  2. I wouldn't be mad at this if Lopez was hitting, but a combination of Craig/Lopez/Feliz/Miles at 3B doesn't seem like it will fix the Cards problems at 3B. Feliz has 8 errors at 3B this season, adding to the Cardinals total of 24 errors at 3B this before acquiring Feliz.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5476778 :banghead: Of all the 3B on waivers, Mozeliak just had to get this one.
  4. The only thing I can say is Kyle Lohse isn't ready. I didn't buy into what Phillips said and how it was "the turning point of the season".
  5. Done. You have the weirdest strategy. This is your second move of the season picking up someone who has less HRs than the person you dropped. Needless to say, you're still in the Top 10. Just gut feelings. I think ARod has some sort of nagging injury. He hasn't looked right for awhile. And Cruz is on the DL, again.
  6. He's on the DL now.
  7. As opposed to St. Louis I was gonna say, I really don't think people in Cincy are too envious of St Louis STL and Cincy are both [expletive] cities, but Cincy wishes they had a modicum of STL's baseball success over their past 15 seasons. LOL @ Reds44, why am I not surprised? This guy echoes the reaction of 99.9% of Reds fans in this town. "Love what he said, you go Brandon, love that fire, love that emotion, blah blah blah." Nothing to be said of "shut up and play." Rob Dibble's meathead schtick fits this town to a "T." Phillips probably shouldn't have been so public about it, but he was right. I'll agree with you he shouldn't have been so public about it. If you want to make those comments, tell your teammates, not a newspaper. Also, if your Phillips, do you really think the Cardinals will move on and forget about what you said about the? And an update on LaRue, he's probably out with a concussion and the Cardinals are considering calling up an AA catcher.
  8. BTW, the player Cueto spiked has a slight concussion and facial injuries.
  9. what if you're being pushed through the netting into the 2nd row? I'd say a little panic/survival instinct was kicking in there He wasn't the one pushed into the netting, Carpenter was. Cueto was in the netting, but wasn't being mobbed like Carpenter was. And he spiked LaRue in the face, who didn't even do anything.
  10. And Phillips ends the game for a second straight night.
  11. Cueto has to been suspended. You don't spike a guy in the face and another in the back.
  12. LaRue got spiked in the face by Cueto. If Phillips is going to trash the Cardinals like that, they need to at least win the series. Carpenter has let his emotions run wild this season.
  13. It gives the Cubs time to look for a new manager outside of the organization. That's the only one I can think of.
  14. Lee is in group C and Bautista is in group D. This transaction cannot be made. My bad. Drop Lee Add Votto
  15. Jacob Turner and Rick Porcello are the two players in their system I'd kill to have. Turner would have to be a PTBNL since he can't be traded until some time in August due to the fact that he signed less than a year ago. Otherwise, their system is pretty nondescript. Quite frankly, I don't think that package could net either of those players unless the Cubs kicked some serious money to the Tigers, especially considering Ramirez's $16m 2012 option would kick in when he got traded. I doubt the Tigers would trade Porcello for ARam, considering that Inge would be back later in the season. Lilly's the most likely to be traded out of the three listed, and I don't think he'd net Turner or Porcello. Who's the current Detroit DH? Could Aram or Inge be moved there once Inge returns? Damon's the DH right now. Theriot might also be a good fit considering Guillen was their 2B and Sizemore is playing 3B.

  17. You are right about there being questionable calls all the time. The SP has been bad the past 2 days, there's no denying that. The difference between why the Cubs won and why the Cardinals lost was Molina's error. Great teams are able to get around that, the Cardinals aren't a great team, for this year anyway. I fully admit that even though I'm a Cardinals fan.
  18. The quality of umpiring was pretty poor in many ways today. That being said, we can't expect to win games started by Jeff Suppan or Blake Hawksworth. It may have been poor but its not what made you lose today or yesterday. The Cubs have been on the other end of bad calls plenty this year. It sucks, but it happens, and saying you are playing 2 teams is just sour grapes. There were some very questionable calls, that's all. It's also interesting to see the Cardinals lose 3 straight right after they go on an 8 game winning streak, and somehow I'm not surprised.
  19. Last transaction: Drop Markakis Add Wigginton.
  20. I am sad that I'm in 3rd, but only down by 10.
  21. Nah. They don't need any relievers and fans don't need Mozeliak putting the band back together. I'd rather have Weaver over Hawksworth...
  22. Here's the list of all the 2010 Free agents(UFA and RFA): I apologize for the list being long and here's the link: http://www.nhlnumbers.com/freeagents.php
