  1. Well, Lohse's replacement, P.J. Walters has been impressive this year in the minors and has been better than Lohse. Wells strikes him out. It doesn't matter what piece of Howry you put in your rotation, they'll do just fine. Eh, the bullpen seems burnt out right now. It may be addition by subtraction.

  3. And when they finally lose, Hawksworth gives up 4 runs to blow a scoreless game. :banghead:
  4. And Scott Roeln(ex-Cardinal) hit the game tying PH HR. :banghead: I can't hate Rolen.
  5. I wanted to find a poster with a certain username, I typed in said username, but I was brought back to NSBB's home page. Is this a problem?
  6. As a Mizzou fan, moving to the Big 10 would make more sense then staying in the Big 12. The Texas schools(Texas,Texas Tech, Texas A&M) get more profit then Mizzou does, along with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The Southern Division beats itself up while the North Division was pretty weak this year. Another thing about the Big 12 is that the BCS can pick whoever they want from the Big 12 to be in a bowl game over a team that had the better record. In 2007, that was the case. Mizzou was passed up for KU, when they beat KU at Arrowhead in front of a National stage. The Big 10 has a TV deal, the Big 12 doesn't.
  7. http://www.docsports.com/2010/best-wors%20...%20s-417.html Brantley should be lower.
  8. Threatening the Cards? It's only May. The Cards choked against the Astros and Phillies, we all know they have offensive problems but the bullpen and the SP(aside from Lohse) has been good. Relax. You guys might be the best team ever constructed. No one will ever "challenge" you. And even if they did your manager and team would be able to point out how they cheated or were too disrespectful in doing so. You do have a point, I went a little over board with saying that. I haven't felt this optimistic about a Cards team since 2004/2005. I do realize McGwire cheated and I recognize that. But you could say that about any team in baseball and how one player cheated. I'm talking more about LaRussa being so quick to say we are stealing signs how else could Sosa hit Matt Morris, the Reds are doctoring their baseballs how else could Chris Carpenter get hit around, Milwaukee is untucking their shirts after wins we don't do stuff like that, the mean Carlos Lee is getting too mad when he gets out doesn't he realize that Chris Carpenter is the greatest pitcher who ever lived. That type of stuff. Not about how your team employed a huge cheater and still does in Ryan Franklin. Franklin was punished in '05 with the Mariners for cheating. The untucking shirts from the Brewers get annoying. Aside from that, I don't what else to believe fro TLR except maybe the doctoring balls at Cincinnati, there wasn't a complaint last night. Smoltz agreed wtih Carpenter and TLR about that last year.

  11. Carpenter overreacted. He threw the pitch to Lee and it didn't hit him. He did that against the D'Backs, too.
  12. Moore was the one that kept the Royals a mess, not Hillman.
  13. I was watching the game at home and all of a sudden Al Hrabosky and Dan McLaughlin were saying how a fan was being tasered. Because of a MLB rule, they can't televise it. The best part was when Yadier Molina was grinning when he was batting. Also, the fan could have done something dangerous because he ran right next to Werth but cut throught CF instead of going into deep RF. The next night some fan ran onto the field in the top of the 9th when the Cards were AB and Hamels was about to throw a pitch but the fan delayed his delivery. Hamels ended up giving up back to back doubles which tied the game. The officer had no that the fan had no weapons on him, so I side with the police.
  14. Is that a sign of things to come?
  15. I wasn't trying to give daily updates, all I did was just say what his average was when I last checked. Carry on.
  16. I understand that, Nut's..but those are NOT Pujols like numbers....50 points below his career Ave? On a pace to strike out 120 times? Not to mention on a pace to lead the infield in errors? And one more thing....you can check this: since Holliday joined the team his offensive numbers are down across the board. You would think with this exellent "protection" he would be even better. But he is worse by a long shot. Coincedence? Nope.....he is no longer the [expletive] of the walk and his fragile 3rd world mind, along with his fat, heavy legged body can't deal with it. He is pressing like a rookie trying to make the team, and it shows. His average is now .301.
  17. I'd have to go for secret option number 4: Management. I added Lou/Hendry, does that work?
  18. With Zambrano being moved to the pen, I have to say pitching.
  19. For a moment, I thought the OFer would have caught the ball. It may have been a stretch, but I think he could have caught it if he dove for it.
  20. Do you think he can throw a no-no? I doubt he will, IMO.
  21. I think the Cubs will be better then a lot of people expect. All I said was that I was watching the Cardinals game. No what you did was ask how the Cubs are doing when you are obviously on the internet so you can obviously look up the score yourself or just read the last few pages of the game thread that you posted in. I read the thread, saw the Cubs scored four runs and a few posts saying how it could have been 4-1 instead of 4-3, so I was confused. I apologize if it came off as trolling.
