i'd assume the cubs had a list of teams dempster would approve a trade to before letting a deal get this far. i'm sure it will still go down as reported.

I'm not sure what the point is here? Comparing Jeter to a HOFer? He's going in because he is deserving. How can he be over hyped? He's the best SS in Yankee history and among the best ever. I'm not sure anyone has compared him to Honus Wagner. You guys can continue to bag on Jeter all you want, but he's among the greatest of all time. i read that more as barry larkin is underrated, not that jeter is overrated. even the staunchest of yankee haters know jeter belongs in the hall.

Apparently the Astros get new uniforms next season, and Uni watch had a contest to see who had the best design. I love some of these, especially who he picked as the winner. note to selves: don't hire hitting coaches from the rangers or rockies anymore. i agree with tim, bring back gerald perry. our 2008 approach was excellent.

replay wouldn't have ruined the excitement of that play one bit. and hot michael barrett would have made the playoffs. everyone wins.

if anything, i get super excited when the borderline touchdown is made, relax a little bit, then get super excited again when the call is confirmed. it's like i'm getting twice the excitement!
