there were annoying qualities about brenly for sure, but there's a 95% chance he's better than whoever his replacement will be, so this still sucks. -

Replaced by Carpenter. Carpenter promptly hits a 2 run homer. :? you could tell me it was chris carpenter who replaced beltran and hit a 2 run homer and i wouldn't question it.

Pittsburgh, Cincy, Indy all lost. If New England loses to Seattle and San Diego loses to Denver, only Baltimore and Houston will be over .500. and Seattle in that scenario YOu forgot what conference your own team is in? it throws me off sometimes because they're in the afc in tecmo super bowl

The pitch was a serious meatball too. I didn't really realize how bad it was when I watched it live. If I were a Reds fan, I'd be convinced that Frazier would have hit it off the jumbotron. http://deadspin.com/5951062/the-reds-season-ended-with-scott-rolen-whiffing-on-a-hanging-slider the 1st pitch in that AB was a meatball too. i cringed when i saw it leave romo's hands, but rolen took it.
