  1. Reading his yahoo.com articles, I'm not sure I want him coaching.
  2. You mean .667 OPS last 7 days starting to hit the ball?
  3. We're going to talk with him on a conference call in a minute, so I don't think he'll be here. He'll probably join the club in St. Louis. Reds announcers confirm Nevin won't be in Chicago tonight.
  4. explain how pierre has been doing all those things in the above paragraph this year
  5. someone's gotta bunt pierre over if by some miracle he gets on base
  6. cubbierich makes me want to be a cardinals fan
  7. Nevin sucked vs lefties last year
  8. if it's any consolation, his babip is very low for his line drive percentage, and his isod and isop are pretty good. maybe his luck will turn around with the cubs.
  9. we probably shouldn't be picky when it comes to how we win a world series
  10. Their tv announcers are ok, but George Grande ALWAYS mixes up player's names. He does it at least 3 times a game, it's annoying. Plus, I don't like his voice.
  11. just trying to get on the highlights
  12. he caught the ball off the bounce with grace and ease
  13. freel attempts to put a cubs fan out of his misery but fails
  14. They'd be idiots if they did trade him. But I want him on the Cubs, dammit.
  15. Leaves us a bit thin in the pitching department, no? Also, which one of Aramis, Cedeno, or Walker would you bench/trade to make room for Rodriguez in the lineup? Counter proposal: Wood + Aramis/Walker for Arod + cash. I'm assuming that this season is over and Wood is walking next year. So that kinda (in my mind) makes it more just Prior for ARod and cash. Leaves us thin in the pitching department, yes. But you're gonna have to give up someone huge to get ARod. I love Prior and I hate to see him go, but he is now officially an injury risk and I'm more open to deal him, especially for one of the top 3 hitters in baseball. And I have no problem benching/trading Cedeno if we get ARod.
  16. Congratulations to Barry. And congratulations in advance when he passes Hank Aaron! Arguably one of the best players of all time, no matter what anyone says.
