    But I'm not just looking at him. His production has dropped some recently, and he's been frequently hurt the last 6-8 years. he's 38 years old. and his body type is probably more prone to injuries.

    is this fantasy or realistic? i'll do somewhat realistic, i guess. gm: paul depodesta. can rebuild the farm system, maybe get some quality position prospects, values obp. i wish the cubs would go after him hard. but it'll never happen. but he is available, so somewhat realistic. manager: i don't really care. just someone who isn't dusty. if they have a minor grasp on how to construct a lineup, when to double switch, and when to take out pitchers, they're good enough for me. larry dierker, fredi gonzalez, whatever. just not dusty anymore. pc: tom house? i don't really know much about pitching coaches. but i've heard good things about the guy, and he's not a pitching coach for anyone right now.

    Not sure if you knew, Derwood, but that stat is called isolated discipline, or isoD. Isolated Power is SLG - BA, another fun thing to look at.

    jacque jones is above average!!!!

    Tony Womack's career OBP is .317. He's not good at getting on base, his past indicates that. 40 at bats doesn't convince me he's a good top of the order hitter. Neifi's OBP in April 05 was .408. We shouldn't have kept him leading off then, and we shouldn't keep Womack leading off/top of the order now.

    no offense to ernie, but i doubt that his baseball philosophy differs much from dusty.

    And the truth should set you free! it amazes me that dusty sees how damaging walks are for his pitchers, but can't grasp that his batters drawing walks would help immensely.

    the white sox would be slightly worse with dusty and the cubs would be slightly better with ozzie. the white sox are good and the cubs suck no matter who is managing.
