  1. Anyone see Whisenhunt's press conference? lol. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/8539/whisenhunt-cards-did-not-let-bears-off-hook
  2. So (BCS) #4 Iowa, #8 Oregon, and #9 LSU lost. Only six undefeated teams (including TCU, Boise St.) are left and only one, one loss team left (Georgia Tech). If TCU / Boise St. go undefeated, is one of them going to get bumped by a two loss team for a BCS game?
  3. Glad I picked Penn St. -3.5 today. I mean, they are averaging a little over two 1st downs a quarter so maybe they'll come back. At least I got to enjoy Notre Dame losing two in a row to Navy.
  4. Kendall is a FA And they are not trading Prince So a replacement level catcher (an upgrade over Kendall), Escobar, and Gomez. Plus at 2B you have a huge injury risk in Weeks. I think they would be crazy to trade Prince too. If Weeks and Hart don't produce next year it's going to be cheap tickets for me at Miller Park by the All-Star break.
  5. So the Brewers are seriously going to throw out a lineup with Alcides Escobar, Jason Kendall, and Carlos Gomez as everyday players? Throw in Casey McGehee (who's going to wake up and realize he's still Casey McGehee any day now) and they could be a bottom 5 offense with a weak rotation. If they trade Prince for pitching now, they will be fielding the worst offensive team in baseball. Hardy hit 50 HRs over 2 years (07/08) at the SS position. What a terrible, terrible trade.
  6. Do we actually have the worst offensive line in football?
  7. I had USC -3 in my Pick Em' Pool, but I really don't mind seeing them get rolled here. I can't believe Purdue almost beat Oregon, beat Ohio St. and has been god awful other than that.
  8. LeSean McCoy vs. Giants or Pierre Thomas vs. Miami
  9. I like Hester out of that group. Lynch is averaging 2.9 YPC.
  10. Slaton/Forte and hope for the best. I'm giving Forte another shot after benching him last week (thankfully).
  11. I would stay away from Indy's Pass Defense. I'd pick your poison between Bulger and Culpepper. Personally if Calvin Johnson starts I'd go Culpepper (assuming Stafford doesn't play), if not I'd go Bulger. I would go Wells as well.
  12. I think you'll be fine with either guy this week. If you're more comfortable with LT, I'd go with him.
  13. I've been offered Calvin Johnson and Julius Jones for Cedric Benson. I'm not going to take it, but I'm going to counter Benson for Calvin Johnson and Steve Slaton. Think that's fair? I have: RB (Start 2) Cedric Benson Brian Westbrook Matt Forte Shonn Greene WR (Start 3) Andre Johnson (went to the hospital yesterday) Santana Moss Johnny Knox Percy Harvin Lance Moore Torry Holt Johnson is (was?) my only weekly reliable WR. Everyone else is a boom/bust matchup guy. I would be gambling on Calvin Johnson getting healthy at some point.
  14. wow, terrible. get the damn play off. you know they're going to challenge.
  15. Sam Rosen has some sweet hair.
  16. who was calling them the best team in football? Doesn't help anyways. I don't feel better. The Vikings losing on two Favre induced TD's the other way, that is probably the highlight of my day I suppose. At least the Bears will remain two games out of first. As frustrating as today is.
  17. who was calling them the best team in football? ok... the best team in the NFC?
  18. jumping out of a pool somewhere?
  19. If it makes anyone feel better, New Orleans 'the best team in football' is down 24-3 at the half. eh, not quite the half...
  20. Take it from a five possession game to four. I kick it too. We're going to be seeing wide open, no huddle, hurry up for the whole second half. At least that should be fun to watch...
  21. Wow, this is the worst Bears performance I can remember in recent history. Just terrible. Quickly reaching funny bad though, so it won't be a painful loss.
  22. Getting DeSean over Roy Williams makes this much more palatable. Thomas Jones now looks like he can be a Fantasy RB1 and you can pick your best matchup with the other 3RBs each week. Also, Turner has quietly been as bad running the ball as Forte, it's just hidden by his touchdowns. I would probably lean towards accepting, but this could backfire if Smith and Turner finally break out. Is this a keeper league? Also, have you looked at the playoff matchups for these guys?
  23. Need a Flex: Ryan Grant @ CLE Jonathan Stewart vs. BUF Kevin Walter vs. SF Percy Harvin @ PIT Ted Ginn vs. NO I'm leaning Grant, but Kuhn keeps stealing his TDs! It seriously makes me want to break things.
  24. I got Forte at #5 in my draft and I'm about ready to give up myself. I think this would be another selling low proposition though. I'm starting Benson and Westbrook this week and leaving him on the bench. Forte also faces Baltimore and Minnesota weeks 15/16 (playoff time) which further reduces his value IMO. If you can get another elite back for him and a WR I would certainly consider it.
