  1. I would agree with you. Moss had a big week last week and Knox has shown some talent. I might usually say Harvin but Detroits defense is bad enough compared to GB that I'd take Knox this week. Moss and Harvin. Harvin will be the fastest guy on the field against a D sporting two ancient/slow CBs. Look for Brett to swing it out to Harvin a lot and let him pick up YAC on Monday. The Bears should be doing a lot of work on the ground game this week. And I wouldn't put Royal in until he does something at this point. And I assume return yards are not a stat otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question. Yeah, return yards don't count (but TDs do). Good point about the Bears trying to work on the running game this week. Also, I wasn't thinking about the Minny game being on turf either which will magnify Harvin's speed.
  2. I've been riding the Benson train for the last 2 weeks - even against Pittsburgh. He's produced so I'm going to keep him in against the terrible Cleveland Run D. I would go Benson personally, but Slaton is due for a big day as well.
  3. Palmer and Grant. At least Grant may get some goal line carries and a TD. I traded McFadden because Oakland's offense is just terrible. Goal line carries have been going to Bush anyway and Oakland is going to have to at least try to throw the ball with Houston likely ringing up TDs. I'm starting Cutler over Brady in my ESPN league. I was happy to get Brady on draft day but it's been downhill since. He'll improve and won't be playing Baltimore every week so he'll remain my regular starter, but not this week. Palmer's matchup against Cleveland is better.
  4. I can't wait, I work with almost all Packer fans. I actually want the Packers to win so the Bears have a shot at at 3 way tie. But, if they Packers lose to Favre... Tuesday at work is going to be great. So I see it as win/win.
  5. I've got my mind made up everywhere but WR this week. Need 2 of these: Percy Harvin vs. GB Santana Moss vs. TB Johnny Knox vs. DET Eddie Royal vs. DAL I'm leaning Moss/Knox. I think the GB/Vikings game is going to be a close, low scoring affair or I would be starting Harvin. Royal is my least favorite, but he's due to break out eventually, right?
  6. I think Ward is the safe pick and Hester is the boom/bust pick. If you've got a solid team and can take a bust risk, I would start Hester. We all know what he can do with the ball in his hands.
  7. If Gore is actually out I like Coffee and then Bradshaw.
  8. AP (obvious) Jones - Indy's run D is still suspect (even after last night) and Seattle will have to run to try to keep Manning off the field. Sproles - Yes, Pitt has a good run D but Benson ran for 4.8 YPC (76 yds) and a TD. I like Sproles more than Benson. Portis is walking wounded and Lynch will be splitting time because it's his first game and Jackson has played well. Of course it's Monday so things can change depending on Tomlinson's injury status and other injuries throughout the week...
  9. I like McFadden this week too. I'm starting him and Forte. My RBs have been terrible so far, it would be nice to have them both break out.
  10. Using a composite of projections, I rank them in this order for week 3: Harvin 8.5 Knox 7.9 Moss 7.5 Marshall 7.1 Ok, so you've got Harvin as the best play and Marshall as the worst play? Am I reading that right?
  11. Need 2: Santana Moss @ Detroit Percy Harvin vs. San Francisco Brandon Marshall @ Oakland Johnny Knox @ Seattle
  12. After watching Manning/Clark eat Miami's secondary for breakfast I would lean Gates, but that may just be me.
  13. For Week 3: TE - Need 1 Daniels (on roster) vs JAX Shockey (on roster) at BUF Winslow (FA) vs NYG I'm leaning towards Shockey because I've got Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub and a bad HOU performance week 1 sunk me with Daniels starting. I might just dump him and grab Winslow actually - I think they're pretty equal and 3 starters from 1 team is too boom/bust for my taste. WR - Need 2 Percy Harvin Brandon Marshall Johnny Knox So this'll be Andre Johnson and then I'm thinking Harvin for sure - I guess I should probably go Marshall over Knox? My gut says Knox, the 'names' make me say Marshall.
  14. hah! then I might have to accept... wow, what a terrible QB draft for that guy...
  15. Other than not wanting White as my 2nd running back, I'd offer that trade. If I were the other owner I wouldn't accept it. Heh. Unless my QBs were Delhomme and JaMarcus Russell.
  16. I'm not rushing to pick him up. He'll need to do it a couple weeks in a row, unless you're in a 14-team league with flex spots. Then perhaps. I need about 50 yards tonight from Reggie Wayne to win. I cannot believe this. Aside from Chris Johnson and Warner, everyone else sucked. And the guy I'm playing had Rivers, V. Jackson and Barber later yesterday. I thought this was a walk... Am I insane because I see Johnny Knox = 2008 Eddie Royal. Same size speed combination, with Knox actually being faster. Same QB. Defenses focused on other weapons (Hester, Forte, Olsen - Marshall, ?, ?). I guess this year's Bears have more weapons than last year's Broncos did, minus the one super stud in Marshall (last year). Cutler goes away and Royal is pedestrian.
  17. That was very impressive by Miami. The Colts need Bob Sanders. All that effort and bang, Colts are almost to the red zone in 30 seconds.
  18. Don't see many 9 minute TD drives.
  19. I've got Wayne too, but I need 2 TDs and 100 yards if I'm going to win, haha. Thanks for nothing Tom Brady!
  20. Is Johnny Knox becoming a fantasy option?
  21. I'd go McFadden and Rice for sure, and then Bell as the third option. Sounds like Thomas will play but I don't think he'll play much.
  22. I'd consider picking up Gonzalez if you have room, but I wouldn't expect much. I'm always scared of players going down without even being hit and then having damage to knee ligaments. As for Baskett, don't pick him up. Even when he gets up to speed he'll be the Colts 4th receiver behind both Garcon and Collie. He might have 1 game where he goes off and has a big day, but he's not really in the Colts plans significantly. As for the other Colts receivers, they both get upgraded but I'm not sure either are even bench options right now in all but the deepest of leagues. Garcon has the upside, the tools, and is the deep threat while Collie is going to be the slot/picking up 1st downs guy. If either one wins the job for sure over the other, they might be worth picking up just because of the Colts passing attack, but until then they're just too risky. Thanks, yeah Collie and Garcon are both available as well.
  23. Anthony Gonzalez got cut in my league. Do I drop Donnie Avery to grab him, or to grab Hank Baskett who the Colts are going to sign today? edit: I don't plan on starting Avery anytime soon. I start 3 WRs and have: Andre Johnson Brandon Marshall DeSean Jackson Percy Harvin Donnie Avery
  24. My team is a hot mess. Need 1 RB (Forte is the other) McFadden Pierre Thomas Jonathan Stewart Need 2 WR out of these (I'll also be starting Andre Johnson): Brandon Marshall DeSean Jackson Percy Harvin Donnie Avery Also, Shockey or Owen Daniels? My team got f'd last week with Schaub, Andre Johnson, and Owen Daniels all being shut down...
  25. Smack

    Backup RBs

Thanks guys, I'm not worried so much about their production now. I'm thinking more along the lines of boom potential if AP/Turner/FWP/Williams go down...
