  1. No Hummel again for Purdue.
  2. We feel used.
  3. The word filter saves my banning. I'm flashing back to one of my college roommates who was an IU fan (attending Purdue, I don't know why). He would scream and yell and cuss... and do things like throw shoes at the TV. Really quite exciting. Indiana and Purdue are nearly completely different schools academically. You don't see why someone who was a fan of one might attend the other purely for academic purposes? A lot of people from my high school went to IU. They were all either medical or law majors. Well, they do have a lot of overlapping subject areas too, he was Computer Tech something or other, not Engineering

  5. Yes they did. And it was glorious. It's great when even good ole Rat Face's whining can't make a difference for them. i'm mad at myself for not watching this. i guess i was still in mourning over IU blowing their perfect BT season. Yeah Iowa is bad Hey, we have a winning record. You were the only team and are the only team that will lose to Indiana in the Big Ten this year They're missing some of their best players Tate and Tucker, how has Purdue faired without Hummel? Wait wait wait you actually are going to put them on the same level because they have injuries? come on Iowa is worse because Tate and Tucker are out, but they weren't much better compared to the other teams in the Big Ten anyways even with those guys I don't think it would be impossible to argue that without Hummel we would be 4-5 or 5-4 in conference and if Iowa had those two guys they could be 4-5 or 5-4 too. At any rate, if Hummel's back isn't better by tournament time our season is going to be about as meaningful as theirs anyway.

  7. I started off 9-1 (with the loss coming first)... now I've lost 3 in a row. Woo!
  8. I'm rolling with Wake tonight.
  9. Did he know about Hummel? I wouldn't have touched it if I had known. Sucks to see a nine game streak go bye-bye.
  10. lol at Kramer
  11. Awesome, Hummel isn't playing.
  12. One of my college roommate's is Stewart Schweigert's brother. Before signing day we went up to Saginaw for a roadtrip and he was driving a new Escalade and sporting a Michigan State hat. I though for sure that the fix was in. He wouldn't even tell his brother though. He ended up going to Purdue b/c Tiller told him he'd give him a shot at WR. I talked to Stewart Schweigert on the phone when he was in jail for public intox. He called to tell me my buddy was in the cell with him and needed to be picked up (buddy was too drunk to talk). Caller ID said 'inmate'. Haha.
  13. went ahead and joined the group
  14. Why? Pomeroy has Purdue with a 64% chance to win and Ohio State hasn't beat a good team since early December. Don't think Purdue has won in Ohio since 1998. Purdue doesn't score a lot of points, but has a sick defense. It's a toss-up so I'm going for the home team. This could be a big streak breaker for a lot of people. Yeah, I'm at nine and going with Purdue. I've cursed this team off and on all year, but I wanted to go with UConn last night and didn't... time to make a move.

  16. some of the worst free throw shooting I've ever seen
  17. not so fast
  18. Wake playing stupid...
  19. Singler looks like Simple Jack.
  20. Very big win 4-0 in conference since the first two losses....Can I ask you a question though. We won the game by 8, but it should have been like 15. When did this team forget how to shoot free throws? Last year the entire team was around 75% or better except for Kramer he shot like 61% last year? Man are free throws killing us. He's the only guy who can make a big free throw down the stretch Yeah, if I were Painter I would put the clamps down and have these guys focusing on free throws.
  21. Best win of the year by Purdue.
  22. i didn't know you got a banner/trophy and cut down the nets for having the best conference record. i guess it's somewhat of an accomplishment, but in the grand scheme of things, a regular season conference championship and 50 cents will get you a phone call. as opposed to what? winning the Big Ten tourney? if you win the regular season title of a major conference you're going to be a top seed in the ncaa tournament anyway... or are you saying only winning the ncaa tournament matters? this isn't like pro sports where there is one winner out of 30 or so teams. i guess my point is that, when the conference has an end-of-season tourney, nobody really remembers who won the regular season. alabama had the best regular-season record in SEC football this year, but if you ask someone who won the SEC in football, i don't think anyone except for alabama fans would answer anything other than "florida" I understand that - I just think basketball is different. I mean Northwestern could finish below .500 in the conference schedule and go on a run and win the Big Ten tournament, they did beat Michigan State at home. Ole Miss beat Florida in the regular season and it's not unthinkable that they could have beaten them again in a playoff scenario, but they never got a chance.
