Ohio State lost to a bad Va Tech team And Baylor lost to unranked WVU. And TCU lost to a team who lost to an unranked WVU. What's the point? I'd rather lose a game that went down to a last possession at va tech then get absolutely steamrolled at home vs UCLA.

Nor do I feel that gettig mercilously beaten down by UCLA at home should allow asu a ranking above Baylor, Ohio state, UCLA or the Two loss SEC west teams.

He's played 14 games in the last 3 seasons. Nevertheless. If he said this during the wizards series last summer if probably get pissed. I'm too encouraged with his recent play to care about the media stuff. I think the bottom line is that either (i) he has zero pr awareness (ii) he has a very hard time communicating or (iii) he doesn't care what anybody thinks. It's probably (i) and (ii). It's not like he's not rehabbing or he's not coming in shape. He is doing everything you want an injured star to do.

He just had maybe his best performance in 3 years. I'm not gonna get upset that acknowledged he doesn't want to be in a wheel chair. That he was too stupid to say "I want to die out there" and be loved for it. I think he's done pandering and I'm perfectly fine with that. I actually think it's possible he meant to assuage peoples fears ad that he was saying he's healthy despite missing games. I'd like to see him play 60 games this year that would be fine for me. As far as what he says to the media or what nick fridell says he says I don't care.

What they did last year is irrelevant. In practice the defending national champion is generally put in the poll possession in te rankings. They also started the year at no. 1 and were able to beat Clemson absent their best player. I can understand them slipping in favor of a different team if that team were both dominant and unbeaten. But oregon lost a home game so I don't get elevating them over FSU.

I'd like to think he's actively baiting people with comments like these. I don't think he is but I hope he is doing it on purpose.

What if TCU dominates the rest of it's schedule. And Baylor wins out in relatively competitive games? The committee chairman said "head to head comes into play when all else is equal". That's absurd and he needs to be fired. Also oregon jumping the defending national champion FSU is a crime. The chairman said it's because oregon has 3 top 25 wins to FSUs 2.

Baylor curb stomped OU at OU. TCU played OU to a shoot out in Fort Worth. This is crazy.

I don't understand this. Baylor beat TCU. What's the point of playing that game? This is crazy. This is dumb. Apparently it's more important to play and beat Minnesota than to play and lose to Baylor. Baylor does not control it's destiny in the big 12.

I could care less what Rose says. I still love him and I always will. And everybody begged the bulls to take th foot off the regular season gas so who gives a [expletive]. I'm done caring what Rose says. Rose was a media golden boy and now he's a pariah. I don't care. I still love you unconditionally Derrick.

I'll take this. Would be interesting if Bama won this weekend and lost in the SEC championship game. Yeah, we'd see how much the committee would value winning a conference title in picking between a one-loss OSU and a one-loss Mississippi State (assuming they beat Ole Miss). The committee should have never released their criteria. It's just makin them look stupid. They said h2h, conference title, SOS and eye test. Bama was number 6 last week without a quality win. Baylor and TCU are playing basically te same schedule and it's likely that Baylor will win the conference and won the head to head. Really not understanding what they are gonna do with TCU and Baylor if they both win out. Virtually everybody considers TCU te better team but TCU had a chance to beat them and they didn't.

As much as id rather see OSU get in in that scenario you'd have to put a one-loss miss st in the final four over OSU. If Miss St has on pas at Bama and wins vs Ole Miss and Auburn you have to put them in over OSUs loss to Va tech and wins over MSU and Nebraska. Personally I'd rather see OSU et in because of the hatred and passion they inspire over a lukewarm miss st that plays a tim tebow offense without Percy Harvin. They are so unfun to watch play. OSUs offense is fun. Nobody really gives a [expletive] about miss st.

I think a convincing win in either direction will eliminate the loser of the bama - miss st game. If they play each bother in week 13 and then are both inn the playoff that's quite an indictment of the playoff. If Miss St wins then bama is out. Bama would then also need to beat auburn. So I do thjnk Baylor, if they win out, would get in as the big 12 champ with a win over TCU. But you never know the committee could change their criteria.

I think Baylor has the easiest route into the playoff as they will only need to beat hove vs Ok State and KSU and at Texas tech. Pretty much everybody else on the list needs to beat at least 2 too teams. And Baglor has the big 12 tiebreaker with the win over at TCH.

So assuming Oregon cleans up Utah. The top 8 should be: MSST FSU OREGON BAMA BAYLOR TCU ASU OSU You also have Duke and Nebraska as one loss power 5 teams but they are I think we agree not on this tier. The 4 playoff should come out of the 8 teams above. TCU and OSU probably need help but every other team can win out for a spot.

With ASUs tempo there are a ton of possessions with which to get back into this game. This is a smallish 30pt deficit.

There will be 20 teams with an argument for that eight spot. It's stupid. How did we go this long without this piece of [expletive] playoff.
