  1. Do people not understand how contracts work? Stanton has the option to collect $325MM from Jeff Loria if he so chooses. Loria does not have the option to stop paying Stanton after 6 years. Loria did not do anything unscrupulous in this case and the criticisms of him in this case are idiotic.
  2. It's not really the fifth best player on the floors job to cause panic. Boris Diaw was not causing any more panic than Dunleavy.
  3. I'm not sure right now what western conference team will be the standard bearer. GSW? I think the bulls math up well there. Memphis just looked like [expletive] vs philly. The spurs reign is probably over. LAC looked like ass tonight. I'll take the bulls at this point.
  4. If the playoffs started tommorrow I would consider the bulls capable of winning the title. This is the most offensively skilled team the bulls have had in about 20 years. They are able to beat any team. Derrick rose is able to dictate a game in his current form.
  5. Yes my scalding hot take is that at this point I'd be very very happy with McDermott equaling a korveresque career.
  6. What does that mean? If he has a career equal to korvers I will be surprised. If he has a career equal to Antwan Jamison I will be stunned.
  7. I posted that because of how great korver is playing right now. I'm not holding mcdermotts injury against him.
  8. Conflating korver and McDermott was seen as a huge injustice to McDermott around the draft. Korver has had a great career that McDermott would be fortunate to equal. Maybe could Corey brewer be available?
  9. Remember when everybody was falling all over themselves to prove how McDermott was way better than korver?
  10. Gasol is old and taj and Noah are both hurt. We can't trade a big. And dunleavy is a good player.
  11. Muschamp should have went for the job and south carolina. Would have been a great HC job for him to get the inside track on. Still a big time program but not quite the circus that the other big SEC programs are.
  12. Im not done with Doug M. Im just thinking this is a win now team and i wish we went all in for now.
  13. We fucked up not flipping the Mcdemott pick for a legit wing and maintaining the hinrich love affair. Other than that roster construction has been perfect.
  14. Can somebody explain to me why the Kromer thing is such a big story? Its all over ESPNs scroll and being discussed on sportscenter. Dont coaches criticize their players fairly regularly in the press? Is this that rare of an event?
  15. Mirotic is a lot stronger on the boards than i expected. Hes really a good player. Its hard to be believe that 6 months ago in the our last playoff series DJ Augustin was our primary scoring option.
  16. Mirotic is a lot stronger on the boards than i expected. Hes really a good player. Its hard to be believe that 6 months ago in the our last playoff series DJ Augustin was our primary scoring option.
  17. Rose is like a year and a half older than Lillard. They were acting like Rose is in a different generation. This bulls team is ridiculously deep with talent right now.
  18. He only took 2 3s. He's just so [expletive] good when he's healthy. It makes me so happy.
  19. Aldridge is getting whatever he wants.
  20. I think all the talk about the triangle is overblown. It's like the only offense anybody has heard of so they make a big deal out of it wherever Phil Jackson goes. Every team runs some kind of offense. Any good roster of players can run the triangle offense. The Jordan bulls and the Shaq lakers didn't run the same set of plays all the time. It's just this big part of the Phil aura that isn't really as relevant as people are claiming. This offense was invented in the infancy of basketball as a sport. Melo is a great player and is great in any system. The knicks roster is bad. They can't do anything well. Phil is an egomaniac who probably thought associating himself with a team improves it. He's not a personel guy and he never was. He was actually bad at it when he had good teams. The guys he lobbied for like Tyrone lue all sucked. There was nothing to suggest he could succeed in New York and it's no surprise he made a couple of marginal upgrade signings, resigned Carmelo and called it a day. He's not even near the team. He hired a guy who has never coached. I fully expected this to me a mess though I am surprise at how bad it is.
  21. Melo is a million times better. But I'm glad we missed out on melo at this poit because Gasol is a badass and we have a bunch of cap flexibility we otherwise wouldn't with melo.
  22. I thought the same thing about Barry Alvarez when I saw Andersen was leaving. But I've also heard only that he was a good guy. Very very odd.
  23. NIU to the big 12 would be great.
  24. Now can we get TCU and Baylor vs the mississippi teams and auburn vs MSU ? Are those stil possible? Those are three games I want to see.
  25. I'm gonna change my opinion I like this playoff. I really hope they don't increase it to 6 or 8. This committee however stupid their series of rankings, they delivered probably the two games I want to see most.
