  1. Utah just had consecutive kick /punt return TDs which is fun and caps a solid day of games.
  2. This is gonna be a wild quarter in the bama ole miss game. If I were freese I'd be getting the ball out of the QBs hands immediately. Just throw it up at one of these WRs. They will need to score to win this game 13 is not enough.
  3. Whoa Barry bonds is an all time dirtbag who is basically ray rice on steroids when it comes to beating his wife unconscious. His wife testified that he beat her repeatedly and at least once when she was 8 months pregnant so yea bonds is no good and probably worse.
  4. Nadal has 5 non FO slams and Djoker has 5 outside of the AO. Can punish a guy for dominating The French. Unless Nadal gets it together this won't be an argument for long as Djokavich will pass him within 3 years probably.
  5. naw, not yet. nadal has more majors, career slam, better H2H record in slams (including slam finals) against djok. but what really keeps nadal ahead of him for me is nadal's quasi-dominance of federer when federer was still basically at his apex. but it may just be a matter of time before djok passes them both. I have no idea who is going to step up and challenge him. The best bet is Nadal regaining form because there is nobody else. Wawrinka has shown that his style of play can bully Novak but you can't trust him to consistently factor into the slams. Del Potro is no more. Murray is like a worse version of Djoker and can't beat him. There is nobody younger than Djokavich that seems like a great player. Dmitrov turned out to be a mirage. Nishikori can consistently win matches against inferior players. Roanic sucks. Sadly our great hope is Nick Kyrios and there is no way he will mature mentally to the point where he could beat Novak over 5 sets.
  6. I don't agree. nadal has 4 more slams. A dozen or so more atp titles. He's got a big edge in the major head to head as well. Also a gold medal.
  7. Djokavichs ability to win the big points is amazing.
  8. Fed and Novak are clearly at the top of the sport. Novak is putting in a great season. Hopefully fed can roll him in the final.
  9. Per Isner he will just never be able to make a deep run of he can't figure out a way to win a few return points. Federer basically held his serve to love for the third set. This is a guy that couldn't break Mahut in 70 tries. I just don't think he has the talent to improve. he will have to be content winning a couple 250 events here in the states that nobody cares about.
  10. Anderson has a real opportunity. Stan has not looked good this week. I think he can get through to the semis and he has the firepower to beat either fed or gasquet. On the top half hopefully either Cilic or Tsonga can push djokavich in the semi because I don't see Lopez serve and volleying and slicing his way through Novak.
  11. I'm hoping Tsonga can make some noise in the upper half. Cilic doesn't seem to be in too much form. Tsonga is playing a short season so he should be fresh and he is coming off a deep run the the semi at Rolland garros. Last night Fognini was just stepping into balls and caning winners. It's that style of play that WAwrinka used to bully around Djokavich to win the French. That is the style these second tier guys should use against Murray, Novak and Nadal.
  12. I can't remember a match this good in my life. Unreal tennis by Fognini. He's pulled it all together for a two hour run as entertaining as I've ever seen in 15 years watching the sport.
  13. until this incident I had no idea Kane was balding so aggressively.
  14. JR Smith being accused of rape would be a bigger story and he's not an nba starter.
  15. i don't pay attention to hockey. But you almost never see these guys faces when you watch a game. I couldn't pick Sydney Crosby out of a lineup. That's part of it. And the other part of it is that hockey is like the 8th most popular sport in America.
  16. I think the Kobe comparison (ie if that happened now he would get railroaded and he's fortunate it happened in 03) is somewhat true. But the Kobe thing would be a more apt comparison if this scandal had been toews. The more likeable bigger star. Kane, at least in my view, is not a hugely popular figure.
  17. It seems like this discussion has moved on. Just want to point out that Kobe officially confessed to his rape. It wasn't an accusation he validated by confessing it wasn't consentual from her perspective which I think satisfies the technical determination of what rape is. Kane's case in likelihood will never get that far. We should have said about Kobe "people don't care" instead of "forgot". Forgot is more like Scottie pippens history of violence against women. "Don't care" is the Kobe thing. out of curiousty, what had Kane specifically done to make the people in this thread so sure he has done this? Getting bombed in Madison and acting like a punk 5 years ago? Getting in a fight with a cab driver while drunk? These things don't immediately equate to rape. me and Kane are about the same age and I've heard a ton of stories about him being a punk and a creep from people who have interacted with him over the years but absolutely nothing like this. Not saying he didn't do this thing just pointing out I know a hundred guys who have gotten fucked up in Madison who didn't end up raping people.
  18. I just suspect that sometime soon Kane will come out with a pretty effective and robust denial. And some people will come out supporting him, say friends that were there will support him, people will attack the accusers credibility etc. her tox report will leaked. The buffalo police will not charge him. And that will kinda be it. He will be somewhat tarnished, but he's already viewed (in Chicago) as a creep. Half way through next season people (on the aggregate) won't think much of it.
  19. It matters in the context of the extent of people's "memories" of these things. I do agree that Kobe would not have recovered to the extent that he has if it went down in 2015.
  20. At least we can agree that Kobe raping that woman has not stopped him from being one of the highest paid product endoursers in the world because that's a fact. also they forgot to the extent that he has been the cover of video games since the incident.
  21. Ha. People care more about Clemens doing roids than the underage girl. The packers are having Bret Favre night to a 50 million person audience on thanksgiving this year. The only arguments people have about Kobe are if he's better than lebron or mj. There is a difference between "forgetting" and completely expunging from the annuls of time, but you must choose to consider things with a degree of nuance.
  22. You are living in the world of make believe.
  23. The Kobe thing absolutely went away are you crazy.
  24. Probably as much as kobes wife remembers how he choked and raped a woman in a Denver hotel.
  25. Those who say that Kane will never recover are kidding themselves. He is not that marketable an athlete prior to this. This could go away pretty quickly. Like starlin Castros. I think Jamies Winston is even getting close to not having his rape allegation among the first few things people think about him and he is a much more visible athlete than Kane. I'm sure we will find out soon that this is going. Away. And by December it will be nearly forgotten by most people. Look at a list of athletes that have been accused of sexual assault. It's long and distinguished. You will be surprised that you hardly remember many of the incidents. Like Colin kappernick got through his in a matter of days.
