  1. No that came out easy and it worked. As long as there are people who love college football more than we hate teens who were once the subject of an accusation it works.
  2. If Jameis raped that girl then what do you call what Georgia did to Auburn last Saturday?
  3. Personally I am hoping Tennessee wins so that Georgia gives u a better game in the sec title game. Even without gurley I think they are stronger than mizzou. So if the university acts slowly on this allegation perhaps it could be said it's for the greater good. I support Dew in this.
  4. It would also suck that his team wouldn't be as good as he was hoping.
  5. I hope they did it.
  6. If anybody is at all confused about what a fair weather or bandwagon fan is it's all the Blackhawks fans older than 10 and younger than 50. The bears are such a huge deal in this city i don't think you can actually have a fair weather fan.
  7. Arkansas is funny. "Recent memory"? You guys were a real team 3 years ago. Were in the sugar bowl and blew out South Carolina.
  8. GMAFB. Not just worse, but much worse? 82 QB rating to 86. Cutler has only been under 82 in a Tice or Ron Turner offense. Cutler isn't the best qb to not win a Super Bowl. It's not some tragedy that cutler doesn't have a ring. Yeah I don't know why I said that. .....oh wait, I didn't and in fact said the opposite. Well you have a subordinate clause there and completed your thought with cutler having zero Super Bowls. So yes you did say that. You could have structured your sentence a bunch of different ways to have it not being dependent of cutler having no Super Bowls.

  10. I'd guess muschamp lands at a bad power 5 program. Like a Kansas.
  11. The Bears have really tested that theory, being competitive to the last 1-2 games almost every year for the last decade but only making the playoffs 3 times. They've been the ultimate tease. Thankfully they at least got a Super Bowl appearance out of that run. How many teams made the playoffs more times than the bears over that span? How many teams played in more postseason games (a bye counting as a game played) over that span? I don't know these answers but my guess is the bears have definitely been above average in these catagories. And certainly way above average in the winning percentage column. Speaking of course of lovies tenure.
  12. Not surprised by the mis champ going and not fully against it. However I will say, they absolutely should have won the LSU game and the Gamecocks game and losing those games was not due to poor coaching. They should be 8-2 with a shot at FSU in tallehassee. FSU as we all know looks ready to lose. Potentially even the sec title game. It's funny the margins colleges football. They are so thin. A third and 25 conversion by LSU in the final minutes to extend a drive and tie the game ill owed by an inexplicable Driscoll interception. The blocked fg and blocked pun tv South Carolina yesterday. These things are the difference between a vote of confidence and being fired. And as stated on this board by the Tennessee fan, coaching changes should be made at peril because you can very easy go from mediocre and disappointing to horrible and embarrassing. That said it's such a great job you have to believe they can write a blank check and get a sure fire winner (if such a coach becomes available).
  13. I'd say Baylor and TCU are a coin flip every time. OSU was in a second game under a new qb. They are trending best among those teams.
  14. A lot can happen with the top 6-7 teams. I honestly feel like the two loss teams are back in the mix.
  15. I don't think so I think Phil has no clue how to build a roster. He's good at winning with teams that are supposed to win. They went out and got Dalembert and Calderon. Those aren't tank moves. Those are solid vet fillers to pair with Melo. They put out a team you'd expect to win 45 games but with the injury to caldron causing Shane Larkin (a guy they declined I extend) 40mpg combined with their inability to win close games vs bad teams has resulted in this hilariously bad start. They aren't ranking. They have a guy who has never made personel moves at gm and a guy who has never coached coaching. They aren't doing it on purpose they just suck. The knicks have one hope and it's that some superstar wants to resurrect the franchise.
  16. Looking forward to a lot today. The Bama miss st game wisc neb, the showdown in coral gables, gamecocks gators, and Georgia auburn. All should be great games. Also could be a huge day for the big 12.
  17. Not carry the fire for the loathsome FSU, but what can they do but win the games on their schedule? They had a good, maybe great OOC schedule to go with their conference slate. I undertand skepticism of a team with a subpar schedule, but not when it's the reigning champion. And the people who say last year is irrelevant, please stop saying that, it's relevant for a few teams especially the national champion. Bottom line is FSU should be no 1 overall. They are one of two undeafeted programs and won't he title last year. Let's hope miami or Florida beats them.
  18. Georgia is a good team. Especially with Gurley. A team with Floridas talent is dangerous to pull off an upset. That doesn't mean Georgia isn't good. They are favored over the mighty war eagle tomorrow. If Georgia isn't "good" who the [expletive] is?
  19. I think the issue right now with Doug and Niko is that they are getting minutes in that 5 sub unit that Thibs goes to and not much burn with the 7 man rotation. That will need to eventually change if they are going to be contributors toward the end of the year and playoffs. Right now dunleavy is just a better player than Doug and his game fits in perfectly with the Bulls schematically. I do want to see what kind of upside he can bring, but honestly Don't see where he fits in when the bulls are healthy. If rose goes down and we need another player who can create his own shot than Doug should be given more of a chance this year in the Kirk led lineup. If everybody is healthy, than I'm fine with Doug getting 10 minutes and playing a Steve Novak role. It took 3 years for Butler to get into the lineup with far less depth. Mirotic has looked bad to me. Maybe it's because I had hoped he'd look good right away. He looks soft, weak and considering we are trying to win this year, I'm kinda disappointed we didn't move him if we had the chance when his value was high.
  20. Fellas, I'm speaking generally and not specific to roses comments I agree fully on Sammy sofas comments regarding rose comments. But I'm not goig to dismiss roses concerns about physical health in his post playing life. After a ten year nba career, which is like 3 months of training and 8 months of a physical grind each year, you will eventually begin to suffer extreme joint pain. Your back will likely be fucked. Add in major structural damage you are talking knee, hip, shoulder replacements. You are gonna age very quickly. Steve Nash can't even pick up a suitcase without slipping a disc.
  21. Let's not act like knee injuries of rose's magnitude aren't going to cause his log term problems. If you ever see some of these ex players a lot of them can hardly move at the age of 50. I wouldn't even say "small price to pay to make a hundred million bucks playing basketball". That's not a small price to pay. We all want to be as mobile as possible for as long as possible. Pro athletes too. How much money would you sell your ability to be active and without constant, chronic pain for the last 40 years of your life? It's not just the head injuries of football. Carson Palmer probably won't be able to walk 18 holes or play tennis in 10 years. Hasn't Bill Walton been pretty candid about wanting to kill himself at times?
  22. This consolidation of things I hate Knicks/New Yorkers/Phil Jackson/Fisher is working out great right now. They are gonna lose 50 games. I didn't think they would suck this bad.
  23. As far as the acc goes they only have one elite team I guess. Because I'm not gonna consider Clemson elite. But they do have Clemson, ga tech, miami, duke, Louisville which amount to a pretty good second tier. And you could consider ND a part of that conference based on the 6 game conference schedule. You also have some dangerous clubs in there. BC beat USC. Va tech beat OSU. As far as FSU goes. An OOC slate of Ok state, Florida and notre dame has got to be among the best in the FBS.
  24. What they did last year is irrelevant. In practice the defending national champion is generally put in the poll possession in te rankings. They also started the year at no. 1 and were able to beat Clemson absent their best player. I can understand them slipping in favor of a different team if that team were both dominant and unbeaten. But oregon lost a home game so I don't get elevating them over FSU. Kudos to the committee for not just ranking last year's champion #1 if they're not the best team. That's not how college football has ever worked. Does anybody think that Miss St is the best team in the country? Does the committee actually think that? Of course not. It's a resume based world in the FBS. Miss st is 10 point dogs on Saturday nobody actually thinks they are the best team. And let's be honest. I truly believe FSU is being dropped due to universal disgust for Jameis Winston. It's pretty unprecedented to have your undefeated defending national champ falling in the rankings this late in the year in favor of one-loss teams.
  25. Ohio State lost to a bad Va Tech team And Baylor lost to unranked WVU. And TCU lost to a team who lost to an unranked WVU. What's the point? I'd rather lose a game that went down to a last possession at va tech then get absolutely steamrolled at home vs UCLA. ohio state lost by two touchdowns at home to Va Tech My mistake on who hosted the game. Was a final minute pick 6 that made it a two score game. Was a close game. Not a beating.
