    This is working out for the burn it down scenario. The ap has 4-6 in basically a statistical tie. Personally I feel like Baylor ahead f TCU is a no brainer but it's impossible to select between Baylor and OSU. It's even more impossible for the committee to justify a top 4 at this point based on their previous rankings. Again they cannot justify FSU over TCU this week if TCU was over FSU last week. Now if they "honor" the H2H, how could they move TCU behind FSU and/or OSU. It would be hilarious if OSU passes FSU and TCU stays in. That's kinda what in hoping for from a fun to watch the anguish standpoint.

    Well that's stupid. We have had rankings for decades and they by and large conform to certain principals and paramount among them is that last weeks rankings matter. If they don't matter they shouldn't rank them. And if in their eyes TCU should be ranked higher than FSU last week, than how could they justify that changing based on this week? TCU abused Iowa state as comprehensively as possible.

    FSU has wins over Louisville, Miami, ND, and Florida. Those are good wins. They also beat georia tech and Clemson. Those are very good wins. It's been grading FSU on a different scale. Bama lost a game, barely beat arkansas and absolutely should have lost to LSU. Oregon was tied after 55 minutes of football with Wazzu, and lost at home to a flawed team. TCU lost to baylor, needed a last second field goal to beat WVU by 1 and was losing to kansas by 10 late in the third quarter. The committee has painted themselves into a ridiculous corner by having TCU 3 and FSU 4 going into this week. Now they need OSU or Baylor to jump TCU but not FSU and I'm not sure how they will justify it. There is a time honored tradition that head is the uninpeachable trump card. It would suck if that was not honored. Between Baylor and OSU there really isn't a right answer. They are tied.

    It's a travesty to put TCU in this playoff.

    He has a 58-63 conference record at Oregon State. Yea. That's really good considering.

    Riley has always been a target of major programs. Oregon State is a very difficult place to win. No recruitin territory, dominated in their region by some huge megaprograms. The PAC has been consistently a terrific football conference during his tenure with elite teams at the top and very deep in terms of talent. Riley sustaining a .500 conference record for a million years is impressive. He recruiting against Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, UW etc. his players are coming from oregon, Washington and California where OSU is an also ran.

    Didn't Minnesota's old QB kill a guy in the offseason? Mike Riley awesome hire for Nebraska. Can't believe they landed him.

    Rose didn't have a good game by his standards. But everybody is being too hard on Rose for last night. The mavs were smothering rose on the high screen and he dumped it off to Pau for easy looks a bunch of times in the final 15 game minutes last night. He also created an easy dunk for Noah and hit two threes during that span (that's all of the game I saw). He didn't play great but he wasn't a disaster. Far more troubling was the bulls perimeter d. They let the mavs create Dirk on Rose/butler possessions multiple times down the stretch, and didn't contest jumpers from the wings. And yea Niko had a good line not sure hy he can't get any minutes, though it looks like Dunleavy was playing very well so that's not really a big deal.

    Needed to put it away up 5 with ball and a minute left in regulation. That's when butler needs to get to the line and end the game. Not Pau from 3.

    Especially considering Bo Pelini is an example of the top coordinator hire that kinda proved he could run a major program successfully.

    To be a successful CFB coach you have to be an [expletive]. The very best like Saban, Spurrier, and Meyer are enormous assholes. Jim Harbaugh is the bigger [expletive] who might be available and therefor the top hire.

    With Michigan Florida and Miami jobs likely available, as well as the usually 5-6 NFL jobs, nebraska is far down the list to grab a top coach. For example USC, arguably the top job on CFB, settled for a guy who got replaced with an upgrade. Bo pelini has returned nebraska to respectability. If there were gonna fire him, they should have done it last year and grabbed petrino. Hiring a top coordinator is such a risk. And remember that pelini was the top coordinator himself before he took the nebraska job.

    Iowa won't eat his contract and pay a suitable number for a replacement. He's not that bad besides. Iowa is a bad hire away from being illinois. Nebraska shouldn't have fired Bo. They will not upgrade.

    Dude the total team points is 19.5.

    Would have been nice if cutler didn't throw tha pass or not underthrow it into coverage. That's what happens when your defense can't really stop anyone consistently and therefore your QB has to be near perfect every time. Cutler isn't a "going to be perfect" guy. I know. Our team sucks. We can't run on these guys and Marshall no longer appears to be difference maker. Cutlers play today, and the play calling today; would be fine for this team and we'd have won 2-3 more games this year.
