  1. Lefties couldn't touch him but all three righties reached base. Wow. Anyway, could job Carlos way to pitch around some questionable calls by the home plate ump.
  2. Marmol threw at least 4 strikes to Reynolds. This umpire is crap.
  3. Marmol time. How about an uneventful 1-2-3 inning.
  4. Two walks to load the bases. What will D Lee do on the first pitch?
  5. Kudos to Marshall for continuing to throw the back door curve. Come on offense, please keep scoring.
  6. Thank you for calling that 2nd strike Mr. Ump. Soribomb!!! That is the Howry we know and ... love now.
  7. The good news is Haren should be out of the game. He's thrown 112 pitches so I doubt the manager will send Haren out there for the 7th.
  8. It is amazing how 3-4-5 can't seem to get their hits in the same inning.
  9. Failure to retire the opposing pitcher has caused most of his problems.
  10. No. 1, 1, and 2 in them The frustrating thing is Arizona has a terrible bullpen and you would think the players would understand being patient would be the plan for everyone. Way to have a shutdown inning Carlos.
  11. Way to let Haren off the hook the last two innings. It is getting really old watching the Cubs not hustle. Ramirez, Fontenot and Silva all in one inning.
  12. fixed Yes, you are right. Although he does get credit for a single.
  13. This is well after the play, but does anyone remember seeing a ball bounce into the stands at Wrigley like Fukudome's double down the left field line? I've been watching Cub games for a long time and don't remember a ground rule double because of the ball bouncing that high into the stands. Nice hustle Ramirez. Way to turn a double into a single. When are you going to hold them accountable for this Lou?
  14. For those watching or listening, who is warming up to pitch the 9th?
  15. The Fuk is an on base machine right now. Maybe this is the year he is more consistent hitting the ball and we see less of the Fukucopter.
  16. Add on runs are a great thing. It took a few innings but the offense is doing better. Maybe Soriano's home run will help everyone relax.
  17. If the Cubs don't come back to win this game, they will be 5.5 games out of first already. For some reason I thought they would surprise people this year because most were picking them to finish 3rd or 4th in the division, meaning there wasn't that outside pressure. I know the season isn't over but man is this disappointing.
  18. Adam LaRoche has two home runs today? I thought left handed hitters couldn't play against left handed pitchers. Didn't the Arizona manager get Lou's "how to" book? So Chad Tracy is the 2010 version of Aaron Miles...
  19. Lou was ticked in his press conference. I love it when he was asked about not bunting with Fontenot. Lou acted like it was the dumbest question ever, yet he is the guy who tries to bunt all the time. Hey Lou, you pulled Soto the other day to have Koyie Hill try to bunt a guy to 2nd base. How dare you question the reporter. I did like the fact he said how about driving him in or getting him over swinging the bat. Agreed Lou, but when the hitter fails and you use a different strategy tomorrow, what questions do you expect to get from the media?
  20. Complaining about the Cubs pitching seems...peculiar. My bad I did not choose my words properly or failed to add the proper perspective, I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. A lot of teams pitch to the outer 3rd so much, I think the hitters are surprised when they get pitched inside like that. All of the pitches looked like balls but probably looked very hittable to the batter. Like I said earlier, the Cubs starting pitchers should revolt.
