Funny. Considering George used 225 million worth of tax exempt bonds to pay for the new stadium in additional to costing NY State tax payers some 70 million in addition to 7 or so million annually. I'm not making the argument that the stadium benefits do not outweigh those costs, just that maybe Hank should watch his use of 'socialism' when his stadium was helped built by the government redistributing public dollars

I mean, they have to fire RichRod now right even if they weren't planning on it. This story going national has to seriously hurt Rich's recruiting efforts. I'd imagine it would be a tough sell in a recruits living room to come play for you when they know one more 6 or 7 win season means you won't be there next year.

Who is Perez? 8-) Agreed with your 8 thought in a very much pull them out of the hat order. Castro/Dewitt are batting 1-2 or 7-8. I wouldn't mind seeing Soto up a bit higher this year especially if he keeps his OBP hovering around .400 -

Agreed completely. Dice K is signed through 2012 for his 6yrs/52m contract so roughly 17 million for the next two seasons. Fukudome obviously has his 4/48 through 2011 so 12. I'm definitely not eating a dime for this trade if I were the Cubs.

Excited to see Morin play. Skated with Sharp and Brouwer in practice today. I'm still not too worried about this team. It seems like the things we were worried about at the beginning of the season have worked out okay. The fills ins have been more than serviceable for the players we've lost. What's been killing us is Kane's indifference, Keith's decision making, Toews on pace for like 10 goals, Sharp's terrible defense etc. That's not going to continue all year. We will be fine. They are going to tear up the Thrashawks tomorrow

I'm worried that this teams sub par defense is too easily being written off to no Campbell. Keith has been playing like a borderline top 4 defensemen instead of the Norris Trophy winner. Our forwards have been doing very little to help out and often seem to forget assignments. Q's got a lot of work to do...
