  1. Insurance here would be a very good idea.
  2. Lol Stubbs is completely lost against Lester.
  3. Not a fan of stealing with no outs and the 3 best hitters on the team due up.
  4. I totally forgot how [expletive] annoying Jose Reyes was to play against.
  5. Damnit. Didn't think the pitcher of all people would make contact.
  6. Probably Lester's best inning as a Cub. That was filthy.
  7. Clayton again? What the hell is keeping Wada in AAA? He's superior to both Richard and Beeler and it's not close.
  8. Mmm...junk ball. Sidearmer with a 1.75 career ERA in the minors and doesn't walk people. Looking at it, it was pretty lucky that we even ended up with him.
  9. If I'm San Diego I don't make that deal without taking Torres. But thankfully I'm not San Diego and they might do it. And we'd all run around naked.
  10. THIEF Same exact day last year? Weird ass board. Because of that I thought Beeler had been demoted and Wada was brought up to pitch on no-days rest. Which would still be better than Beeler pitching at all.
  11. Matt Stairs would be the high-end projection, I think. Not likely to happen.
  12. Wada had a good outing for Iowa last night. Hopefully this is it for Beeler.
  13. Christ, defending Soriano on a Cubs board. 2008 all over again.
  14. I don't get it either. Not sure why Soriano is the bad guy here. Meatball Pavlovian response. have you watched any of the games? did you not notice Soriano's breaking pitches just dont break? he is serving up meatballs. Look at the stats if you want he inherited runners in other appearances and let them score.. his fip is 9.34 for Christ sakes. There is a reason no one wanted to pick him up until some teams like the cubs got desperate mid season. he is done. he dont look like he has anything left in the tank. for those who say "why did we pay 4 million for him" its not 4 million its pro-rated. so in actuality they end up paying him 1.5 or something like that. 3.2 IP
  15. What am I missing? Soriano literally gave up one hit (albeit a huge one). It was Motte who [expletive] the bed before him.
  16. Guess I should have clarified. I was talking about one stand-alone game. Of course luck is more consequential in any sport that has fewer games. In other words, I feel like there are more lucky/unlucky things that happen in 1 baseball game than there is in 1 football or 1 hockey game.
  17. Are there any Coghlan haters left? There really shouldn't be.
  18. I always forget how much luck is involved with baseball. Pretty much more than any other sport.
  19. With Joc Pederson struggling even more than Bryant, really hope Kris can get it going for ROTY purposes.
  20. Williams has allowed at least 3 ER every start this year on the road. Of course we're going to be the exception.
  21. Bryant's Day Game OPS: .697 Bryant's Night Game OPS: .878
  22. http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Mat+Latos+VAyTi-l5XvBm.jpg
  23. Pretty much how every logical Bears fan feels (or should feel) about Cutler.
  24. The name "Grichuk" alone is severely irritating to me.
