  1. I have a feeling the Steelers are going to fall flat on their faces this weekend too.
  2. God. When do the Packers have to play an actual football team?
  3. Anyone have the latest on Pisa? I think its worth noting that besides Cutler, our offseason acquisitons have pretty much been busts to this point. Pisa can't stay healthy, while Pace and Omiyale are pretty much our two weakest linemen right now.
  4. LOL at that last part. Um, Lions?
  5. Going to try some optimism. Like the GB game, we made more critical mistakes than our opposition, and still had a chance to win/tie at the end. The Falcons, IMO, are an even better team than GB and we still managed to hang right with them despite no run game once again. We have yet to have a game where we both the run and pass are firing on all cylinders (we only had 140 pass yards against the Lions, our only big rushing game). Cutler makes his share of mistakes, but there is no question that we are able to move the ball downfield much quicker with him as our QB. I still think this team makes the playoffs.
  6. It could easily be 14 or 17 to nothing right now if not for two horrible throws. Oh well, c'mon D.
  7. Nice call by the ref. Those are usually called incomplete regardless.
  8. I'm late but GO HAWKS. Its been awhile since I've been this excited about college football.
  9. Maybe since Ogunleye is now expendable, we can trade him to Atlanta for Marty Booker. :D
  10. Brown and Ogunleye had both been playing well, so I'm not sure I understand this. We were a bit thin at DE (Anderson was our only other DE), but a second rounder seems like a bit much. I could see if one of Brown or Ogunleye were hurt, or if we were lacking pressure to this point, but neither are true. I would have rather seen us go out and acquire a big, possession WR. Maybe we still can. Put me in the group that wouldn't mind trading for T.O.
  11. And we were missing Urlacher, Tinoisamoa, and Clark for both of those games. You have to look at both sides of the coin. You can't just say we lucked out due to key injuries on the opposing team when we ourselves had key injuries. In the case of Hasselbeck's injury, its not like he was replaced by some nobody. Seneca Wallace is a pretty good QB. The discussion was about schedules and how one team was lucky to play weaker squads. So yes you can just look at it like that. Urlacher is out for the year, are you going to use that every game for 16 weeks? And Seneca is not a pretty good QB. He's a serviceable backup. My point with mentioning the Bears' injuries is that each team has its injuries almost every week. In other words, if both teams were completely healthy, it would likely have been the same result. I see what you're saying about schedules, and there is a good chance that players on the Seahawks who were healthy against us could be out when the Packers play them. Not only that, but lets say the Packers and Seahawks both enter their game without any key injuries, is it really any different than the Bears and Seahawks both having important players out? I suppose that comes down to how you value the guys who were injured for each team. Last I checked, Matt Hasselbeck wasn't a top QB in the NFL. I can think of 13-14 QBs who I rather have. Then add in the fact that Wallace is a good backup and you really don't have that much of a dropoff between QBs in Seattle.
  12. Not to mention the Bears lucked out against Pittsburgh without Polamalu and the Seahawks without Hasselbeck and Lofa. There's no such thing as a good backup QB in the NFL. Seneca Wallace really isn't that good. What? So you're saying backup QBs don't have varying degrees of talent? That Seneca Wallace = Caleb Hanie? Really though, my point is that the gap between starter and backup in Seattle is much smaller than the gap on most teams. Look at the Bears and Packers.
  13. The Vikings will also play the Steelers with Polamalu and unless something else happens, the Seahawks with Hasselbeck. Every team gets some breaks and for the most part divisional schedules are as equal as they can be. Not to mention the Bears lucked out against Pittsburgh without Polamalu and the Seahawks without Hasselbeck and Lofa. And we were missing Urlacher, Tinoisamoa, and Clark for both of those games. 14. That Cutler pic looks like a potentially broken neck and torn left ACL on the same play.
  15. I figured that news would excite some Packer fans. :D It probably does, although I'm not sure why. There is a reason nobody signed Tauscher. Its kind of like the Bears after they let Fred Miller go, and then re-signed him when the season started last year. If I recall he played quite horribly. Yes, there is a reason why no one signed him. He tore his ACL midway through the year last year and he just started resuming football activities a couple of weeks ago. Oh yeah I forgot about that. Still don't see it making much of a difference.
  16. I suppose. Afterall their blocking can't get much worse. I don't really think Mark Tauscher is the answer to their problems though.
  17. Bring him and Levi Jones in. We need all of the help that we can get. If Tausch is healthy, he's a gigantic improvement over Barbre. Clifton needs to get healthy so Colledge can move back to guard. He's atrocious as a left tackle. I figured that news would excite some Packer fans. :D It probably does, although I'm not sure why. There is a reason nobody signed Tauscher. Its kind of like the Bears after they let Fred Miller go, and then re-signed him when the season started last year. If I recall he played quite horribly.
  18. This. How do you only score 24 total points in four games? Funny thing is, 17 of those were against Green Bay.
  19. Looks like 5-0 for the Vikings, they have the Rams next week.
  20. He has to catch the ball first. Just because of one bad game? If I recall he made a pretty good catch for a TD on a bad throw yesterday. It has been more than one game. Maybe I have a bad memory then. I remember one drop besides the one where he got laid out by that Steelers DB. Just about anyone would have dropped that.

  22. I'm starting to believe Favre could be the Biblical Antichrist lol. What other human is worshiped like this?
  23. Rodgers' pocket awareness is by far his biggest downfall.
  24. I can honestly say it makes zero difference to me who wins tonight. Those are the best kind of games to watch. :)
  25. Perhaps Cutler wanted to pad his stats a bit. I think he barely had 100 yards when the 4th quarter started.
