  2. HE JUST WINS I don't know how people can criticize a QB who has 5 TD's, no picks and has led his team to a 4-0 record. Orton sucks. The pixie dust will come off soon enough. I don't think he's very good, he's average at best. But it amuses me how much Bears fans have turned against him and hope he fails just to make the Cutler trade look that much better from their point of view. Don't forget this was a guy that many loved for his neckbeard and other interesting activities as well. There's no doubt that Cutler would have the Broncos at 4-0 too, but it amazes me why people continue to compare the two. It was a good trade for both teams as the Bears got their franchise QB and the Broncos got a couple of high draft picks the next few years. They're two extremely different QB's, so I don't really get the comparisons. I haven't "turned against him", but I don't feel like hearing that the Bears got destroyed in this trade, which will inevitably happen if Orton's stats continue to be just as good if not better than Cutler's. Thats why things like the flukey TD to Stokley, and the underthrown TD pass to Marshall bother me, because its making the Broncos seem like they made out like bandits in this trade for those who just look at stats.
  3. Another bad pass from Orton gets turned into a long TD. This is why QB rating is a misleading stat.
  4. The Lions have a habit of playing over their head in the first half, and then coming back to earth in the second, like the Vikings game a few weeks ago. Lets hope that continues.
  5. We're going to need that bye week next week.
  6. Whatever it is it doesnt look serious. He took a good hit on that pass by the endzone Hopefully its just a stinger. WR is one place where we can't afford injuries.
  7. Nice job Olsen going down and getting that pass.
  8. This game is starting to feel like the 48-41 Vikings game here last year.
  9. We need a replacement for Tillman.
  10. Glad the defense decided to show up.
  11. You know baseball season is over when you read this thread and are totally confused because you were thinking of Rosevelt Colvin.
  12. I don't want Brenly managing this team not because I think he'd be a bad manager, but because I'm afraid who they would get to take his place in the booth.
  13. I really don't understand why our stock has plummeted. It probably goes back to week one, where Cutler threw four picks on national TV, and Urlacher was lost for the season. But since then we've upset the defending champs, and won in a very hostile environment. The Vikings schedule has been cake thus far and yet they're practically being worshiped. That probably has something to do with who their QB is.
  14. If Briggs is out hopefully Hillenmeyer and/or Pisa can play. I really don't want to see Shaw/McClover, Roach, and Williams as our starting LBs, although as was mentioned above, we could still probably pull off a win.
  15. Wrong thread but I guess it works here too.
  16. Apparently Briggs has some sort of foot injury and sat out practice today. Hopefully it was just precautionary. We're running out of linebackers.
  17. I'm not against bringing in Marvin Harrison but what we could use is a tall receiver who can go up and get a ball. Maybe Aromashodu could be this guy. But I suppose thats why we have Olsen.

  19. Right now Cutler is on pace for 4,053 passing yards. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure no Bears QB has ever eclipsed 4,000 yards in a season. The biggest difference I see, however, is the completion percentage. Currently 64.4% for the season, including above 70 the past two games. I'm so used to seeing our QBs around the 55-56 mark. I really like where our team is right now. 2-1, heading into what SHOULD be an easy win, and what is a must win for obvious reasons. Losing to a team like the Lions at home is something that could derail an entire season. Then we have the bye week at a perfect time. Hopefully Pisa, Hillenmeyer, Clark and whoever else will be fully healthy for Week 6 in Atlanta.
  20. Hester, Bennett, and Knox are turning into a pretty decent trio of WRs.
