Yeah that’s BS. Especially if it’s for like Alex Wood after Game 4 or a bullpen guy the use a lot in first 2-3 games. Game 4 will be their final game this year, anyway.

If there was one thing I thought last year during the NLCS while watching every Dodger dance around at first base without going anywhere it was that Dave Roberts was a brilliant tactician.

Q for Game 1. Plan for Lackey for Game 2. If you lose Game 1, you can still go to Lester if you want to take that chance. Delay that decision for as long as possible, though.

I thought Joe using Carl was smart. He knew he was getting into Wade-Davis-pitches-3-full-innings territory. He used him for one batter. We had a 3 run lead. It was worth a shot. Every out was precious. If, by the grace of god, Carl comes in and is sharp and gives us a clean inning, the game is over. If not, we're still in the same shitty spot, but not much worse for the wear. Coming into the game, I would have said Joe needed to be placed in a straight jacket if he used Carl. But I think the situation dictated it.

It's fun that we have actual lists of our favorite playoff games. And they can be debated. And World Series games can be left off of those lists. Also Bryzzo is still under control until 2022.

I'm drained. I don't know what to do, but I can't sleep. I can't concentrate on anything, though. I'm going to have to catch up on this thread in the morning. Holy horsefeathers, that was incredible. I hope we have about 4 more games like that.

Only Game 7 tops it. I'd rank NLCS clinch over this. That's no knock against this one by any means. horsefeathers, Kyle had that in hand. We were smoking victory cigars in the dugout in the third inning.

That series was amazing and playoff baseball doesn't get much better than that. It's supposed to be torture. I'd agree if it hadn't also been so sloppy. But I'm sure I'll feel better about the whole thing tomorrow after my new ulcer has calmed down. Who gives a horsefeathers if it's sloppy? So was Game 7. All that matters is flying the W.

It was a stupid, torturous series that should have ended two horsefeathering days ago. I'd like to forget the whole horsefeathering thing. That series was amazing and playoff baseball doesn't get much better than that. It's supposed to be torture.
