  1. This whole fiasco has actually made me feel kinda bad for Lackey? While not a certainty, for better or for worse that's probably going to be the last pitch he ever throws. To get thrown into that situation is pretty brutal. He deserves it.
  2. They should give Lackey the Full Metal Jacket treatment, except instead of hitting him with bars of soap, give him a haircut.
  3. I'm more angry about this game than any single playoff game last year. That 9th was a managing apocalypse. The Red Sox would have probably fired Joe 3 times over for it by now. nothing will top chapman pitching in game 6 and then seeing the obvious result of it in game 7. still can't believe how lucky we got. I'm more upset now than then and by a lot.
  4. Welp, it took me 169 games, but I'm finally irate about the 2017 Cubs.
  5. I've been waiting for that. Joe's given us fair warning that he was going to horsefeathers up in that situation. horsefeathering hell.
  6. Inexcusable to not have Wade in there. horsefeathers off, Joe.
  7. Lackey should have never been in there. horsefeathering hell, Joe
  8. Dunesing scares me more than anyone else even though he hasn't been horribad like the rest.
  9. log off I’m rooting for him as hard as anyone else here.
  10. So now fly ball outs for him make us happy. http://replygif.net/i/189.gif
  11. Dammit, Jon battled all night and I thought he was out of it.
  12. I was a big fan of the 2007 World Series champion Cubs. Yeah they won last year. That’s why I’m not tearing my hair out. But this is still frustrating. Because they are better than this. Horrible ABs. Relievers giving free passes. It's a little frustrating, but you are comparing the defending World Series champions -- who've already won one series this year -- to a team that was swept in the NLDS two consecutive years.
  13. horsefeathers the excuses. This tip the cap to the pitcher horsefeathers is beneath this team. That is 2008 cubs [expletive]. I was a big fan of the 2007 World Series champion Cubs.
  14. Bryant hit .308/.400/.523 in the playoffs last year. He hit 3 home runs, one tied a game in the 9th inning, and the other 2 gave the Cubs leads in World Series elimination games. Yeah better than I thought. But his career playoff ops is .793 with 43k in 119ab. So I’ll stick with mediocre. http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/elnb.gif
  15. The Vaunted Dodgers won a game everyone was ready to punt a day ago. Let them have it.
  16. You are very close to realizing that you're looking for something to be wrong because the game was frustrating. Hitting Scherzer, Strasburg, Kershaw, and Jansen(15 of his 25 PA) is hard. You'd hope he'd do better of course, but he also has 5 hits(2 XBH) and a walk in 6 games. He hasn't been a black hole. Fair enough. Hitting good pitchers is hard. But he’s an MVP. You expect more from an MVP. He already has a pretty extensive and very mediocre playoff resume.
