    Dusty really doesn't deserve Trea Turner. He's like the one guy that is actually good at being a Dusty Player: leading off despite low walk total because he can BABIP his way to a good average. And actually efficient while running all the time.

    lol at Hendricks adding 2 mph of velocity in less than a month right in time for the playoffs. His sinker averaged 88.4 mph last night. He was below 85 on numerous occasions this year.

    Thread title needs to be changed. It's incredibly disrespectful to Kyle to compare him to a guy with an ERA above 3 and a losing record in the playoffs.

    Yeah, I'm not sure if or how much experience matters. I bet it does a little. There's a lot of pressure in the playoffs and people fail under pressure all the time at a variety of things. So it probably matters some. But one of the reasons we have so much experience is because we are freaking good. And we are still good. So we're most likely to not crumble because we are too good to crumble.

    Yeah, I'm going to miss the game tonight and most of Game 3 and will have to listen to the starts of possible Games 4 and 5 on my commute home. I'm not very happy right now. But I'm not going to freak out too much considering I saw the Cubs win the World Series last year. I usually never miss Cubs games because I work from home most of the time. But this project I'm working on right now is killing everything I know and love -- which is being lazy and not actually doing work.

    I was planning on reverse jinxing the Nats by writing a Nationals playoff preview on the front page, but I haven't had much free time the last couple weeks. But thinking on it more, I'm still not sure precisely what my gift entails. I made a "fake" article meant to have Justin Wilson stop sucking and he still sucks. And I also made a game thread talking up the Vaunted Brewers and posted it on the front page and we lost that game and got swept in the series. The only mutual results of my real articles and fake articles are that whenever I post on the front page, bad things happen to the Cubs. However, I didn't actually mean the things I posted in my fake articles, so it is still possible that if I honestly spoke glowingly of Strasburg that he would die. It's not a risk I'm willing to take, though. I don't think we need divine intervention to beat them anyway.

    TBS really sucks. They can't do anything right. I agree that national broadcasts make the stage feel bigger and that it is just part of the process. But TBS needs to get their horsefeathers together. They forget simple things, like showing check swings and who is up in the bullpen. Their K-Zone is, I'm pretty sure, a guy pointing to where he thinks a pitch went. The presentation is really horrible.
