  1. The Cardinals playoff chances and the number of posts in each game thread followed the same trajectory: Friday: 308 Saturday: 91 Sunday: 44 Let's see if there is a corollary over at brewerfan.net. Thursday: 497 Friday: 255 Saturday: 106 Sunday: 51
  2. Yeah, there's just no way they'd even be considering Lester at anywhere but #4 right now. Unless Joe gives him the nod in Game 1 out of respect of the seat of NLCS MVP.
  3. And that's the last time we ever have to think about the Brewers again.
  4. Which take aged worse? "Quintana is bad." or "The Brewers are going to win the division."
  5. Cubs are about to be 9-4 in Quintana starts. Quintana has a 3.55 ERA and a 3.41 FIP as a Cub.
  6. Win this thing so we can clinch this thing already. I want this done by Tuesday.
  7. I also used doom boners instead of ninnies specifically for you, Sofa. I've been more of a ninny fan, myself. But I'm willing to broaden my horizons. So I'm going to try them both and see which sticks.
  8. Yeah, I'll be scared if it gets to the point that we need to be scared. Right now, in order to get scared, you have to assume that we lose tomorrow and the Cards win the next two. And there's like a 15% chance of that happening. So we're already being doom boners. And then we basically have to assume that we get swept in 4 games by a team whose ass we just kicked.
  9. Nah. Our magic number is 5. The Cards have 2 games left against Cole and Taillon and then 3 against a Brewers team they may be jostling for a Wild Card spot. We still have three against the terrible Reds to finish the season. If we win 1 game against St. Louis, the season is effectively over. Even if we get swept, it's like a 50/50 chance. And we aren't getting swept. We're 4.5 up with 8 games left. We'd practically have to lose every game the rest of the year to blow this.
  10. That's what happens when you start developing feelings for these turds.
  11. Schwarber Fan gets his wish to see Pena and Zastryzny in high leverage situations.
