  1. Not to derail the discussion(s) about legitimate basketball teams, but IU has clearly been at the point where they just flat out aren't even going to try anymore for awhile now. We're at the point where the highlight of the game is the coach getting tossed. I'm sure Moses Abraham was impressed. God, this season can't end soon enough.
  2. I really haven't noticed much of anything to indicate that Soriano is half-assing it in the field. Certainly not to the degree that you're claiming. Whatever, he's the new Ramirez (labeled as "lazy" though all evidence is to the contrary) I guess so I should just let it go.
  3. I'm somewhat hopeful that Gorzelanny will be okay.
  4. I really don't think the quote is that big of a deal. He basically just said he hasn't really pushed the knee all the way to see what it can do yet so he doesn't know if it's 100%.
  5. ewwwwwwwwwww..... hahaha
  6. my goodness, dude. just quit
  7. this guy is terrible
  8. I think we could make a great drinking game out of it too. Now we're getting somewhere.
  9. Yeah, this could easily be something that's materialized in the last month or so be it in regards to the coaching changes and/or evaluation of players moving forward. This might not have been some Angelo planned to do all along.
  10. In before Vance's Annie Savoy quote.
  11. Heading down to Bloomington for the IU/MSU game tonight. Oh boy...
  12. haha...the guy could only come with three so he had to throw in "karma" and that the saints are "due" for two of the five. I'd say it's all about #2: turnovers.
  13. I really [expletive] hate losing to Purdue, even when it's expected. That is all...
  14. That's a good question. Normally we try and tie in the cities involved for the menu. Obviously in this case you'd have to go all New Orleans, because Indy offers nothing. I need to get on that menu. Get some carry out from Applebee's or Chili's or something. Chain city USA!!!! St. Elmos shrimp cocktail? Yeah...I got nothing. The restaurants here suck pretty bad for the most part.
  15. How the hell did Cutler run Ron Turner out of Chicago!?! That's stupid. I mean, the writer kind of back-tracks on the statement, but give me a break. Ron Turner sucks. That's why he's out of Chicago.
  16. I have to believe Marshall is a superior option as starter to either Silva or Samardzija. Not sure why his name is rarely mentioned as an option for the #5 spot.
  17. Yep. Although earlier reports on the Cubs actual interest are not very encouraging. Sheets seems to want quite a bit of money even with the uncertainty of his health, and the Cubs don't have much to spend. Hendry expressed that the Cubs were not interested, also. However, some media outlets believe this is just Hendry trying to get Sheets' agent to bring the price down. It doesn't seem like that's been Hendry's MO in the past, but I do hope that they have some interest if his asking price starts to come down.
  18. "There's a sucker born every minute" - P.T. Barnum Agree, all those people who think "the steroid era" is encompassed in the mid 90's to 2005-ish are clearly suckers.
  19. Alienating his teammates is one I haven't heard before.
  20. In what way? he kept all those HR and RBI for himself bastard The guy had a bad attitude. Did I appreciate his production? Yeah. But I can separate the two. The one example I can recall is when Sammy went on the DL and teammates said in the media what they are supposed to say, "we are fighting hard and doing the things we need to do and winning while Sammy is out." That sort of thing. Someone told Sammy about it, and his response in the media was anger in the nature of "THEY NEED ME!" But I don't see how his bad attitude (in your opinion) made him a "me first player". I don't really get what that means. In fact, I find it kind of hard to accuse most baseball players of playing selfishly given the nature of the game. He was productive and did what he was paid to do. I don't see how that's being selfish, regardless of whatever perceived attitude/ego problem he may have had.
  21. In what way?
  22. I'd be pretty thrilled with six B10 wins, but looking at the schedule, I just can't see it. As raw said, every time they seem to take a step forward, they take two steps back. It was great to see them hit the glass as well as they did against Minnesota and that effort needs to continue (particularly from the "bigs"). It's been said a billion times, but make some [expletive] free throws you jerks. That game never should have gone to OT.
  23. hahaha...had the same conversation yesterday, but i was thinking Duke.
  24. son of a...
  25. IU has basically gone back to what they were last year in these last three games. Lame.
