It's still so weird that when his eight-year contract is done J-Hey is still only going to be 33. It's usually like 41 on these long-term contracts. I wasn't quite as infatuated as many about him simply because I don't think he is going to tap into some huge power based on his resume, but his resume also suggests he's better on offense than this. If he even hits .250 with a .350 on-base and 15 home runs to go along with elite defense I'm good. That will be a nice compliment to the Bryant's, Rizzo's, Harper's and Schwarber's of the world. It's also a bit premature to claim you are right or wrong about a signing three months into an eight-year contract.
