  1. Missed opportunities, but I struggle to get upset with five runs in four innings. That should be enough for the most part.
  2. Well the good news is that even had they scored another run I see no legit reason why they would have kept the lead anyway.
  3. You fools don't realize that J-Hey is good now. Feel free to bump this if he does bad. Feel real good it will never get bumped.
  4. Willson, nice job. You looked like a veteran not being too anxious.
  5. Is it a slight concern that they already know Fowler won't be ready for Friday?
  6. Hmmmm, I'm inclined to agree with you. But when somebody starts a rehab assigment and they are scheduled to play today and decided they can't, it's sort of a setback from the original plan. perhaps. or it could be he realizes he's 90% healthy and taking another several days of rest to prepare for next weekend's series (as opposed to Tuesday's AS game) would be the more prudent decision. I am 100 percent on board with him erring on the side of caution. could you imagine the doom around here had he played in the AS game and re-injured himself?? personally - and this isn't directed at anyone individually - there hasn't been near enough attention to the fact that this tailspin has coincided with Fowler's absence. He's just one player and I get that, but he seems (for whatever reason) to be integral to this team's offense. it could be just a meatball player opinion, but i wholeheartedly expect the cubs to come out in the second half better when dexter re-enters the lineup. I, too, am happy he's not playing in the ASG. Such an unnecessary risk for both him as a free agent and the Cubs. I want to agree with the Dex theory, but I keep thinking we mostly have sucked because our entire pitching staff has tanked at the same time.
  7. Hmmmm, I'm inclined to agree with you. But when somebody starts a rehab assigment and they are scheduled to play today and decided they can't, it's sort of a setback from the original plan. Not really it could just be a revised rehab schedule due to him deciding to skip the ASG. playing Friday and Saturday was probably the accelerated plan B and now they are going with the original plan. I'll go with that. Get back soon Dexter!
  8. He should just cut the hamstring out. Ronnie Lott cut his finger off. No difference, really.
  9. so still not a setback. point stands. Hmmmm, I'm inclined to agree with you. But when somebody starts a rehab assigment and they are scheduled to play today and decided they can't, it's sort of a setback from the original plan.
  10. While it is not technically a setback, Dexter did seem to indicate he didn't feel like he could push it yesterday. So I'm not certain he will be back right after the All-Star break. Which might not be a setback but it's a not a step up either.
